"Heh, 'course." Her eyes remained on him, holding his gaze. "In this kind of work you get used to patching yourself up after the third fight." Shego moved to the cupboard where she kept medicines and Band-Aids and pulled out some cotton pads and an antibiotic cream. "Mind washing your hands and then your face first? It's gotta be clean so you don't get an infection... those can be a real pain."

"Or alternatively..." she pulled out a disinfectant, "I could clean it with salt water and some gauze, if you'd rather just sit down. I'll take care of this."

I haven't been able to watch the Barbie movie as of yet... but I couldn't just let this opportunity slide, this meme format fits them too well! (Posted this from my dead instagram account because I decided to dedicate an entire blog to Shego and Drakken because I absolutely love them to pieces).

Caroline shuffles up to Kim. "How do you gay and function in school?" She blabs.

"How do I... what...?"

It takes Kim a bit to think about just what Caroline has said to her, and what she ought to say in response. She wasn't as good at jokes as Ron or Wade were (she ought to tell them; that might cheer them up), but... maybe she could come up with a funny response to that one.

"Not straight, I suppose! But I still function." She cackled.

...Then again, she would do just alright all by herself. In a little while, Shego finally got out of the bath and brushed her teeth, then dried herself and got into some comfortable clothes that could also work as pajamas in case they ended up staying late for one or another reason. It wasn't rare that the mercenary did so even when she was all alone.

By the time Sergio texted her, she had had a light dinner, some seafood linguine and an alcohol-free Margarita (Shego didn't keep drinks at home but she had a few kinds of juice and syrup in case she got bored of black tea), and she was lounging on the sofa. Her legs were stretched nearly to its edge, and her arms were resting atop the armrests lazily. From the distance, her silhouette looked like that of a puma, taking a nap.

When her phone pinged with the text, she threw a glance at the table. A second plate and a second glass and fork would certainly have to be added if he agreed to have dinner - a bit after her, but still. And then she opened the door to let him in. "Ah. Come in. You mind me putting a new dressing on your face? Can be now or... after you have some food, if you wanna have any. If not, I have fruit syrup for non-alcohol cocktails." She snickered. "If you'd want some, of course..."

canon characters feel waaay harder to write than ocs, but at the same time when I write my ocs it feels like I'm not doing that right either cos I'm not true to their portrayal.

i’m sick of seeing that post with the fake dialogue so here’s what they’re actually saying in this scene

“That's great to hear. I would have felt awkward being the only one.” Kim took an anxious glance at Shego. Although the two would often be found at each other's throats, this time they had set their differences aside, and when Kim had taken the plunge and gone to the celebration, Shego had followed, first out of a desire to keep her out of trouble and only then because she was curious about the party herself.

“And besides, this is a chance to make new friends, or at least meet new people,” Kim went on, now more relaxed as well, smiling. “My... friend here is a bit less sociable than me, but we... things are a bit complicated, but let's say we're both rivals and friends. I can imagine she wanted to tag along to keep an eye on me when my best friend can't.”

“...Like Kim said, it's a bit complicated... But we're happy to be here. And thank you for the water.” After taking a sip, Shego cradled the glass in her hands, enjoying its coolness. “It's true. I've had some... less than nice experiences around others, plenty of disagreements happened between me and some close people early on when we were young and I believed it was just me against the world. Sometimes, though, I wish I could just... have fun. So I showed up.”

“...Thank you. And I chose to crash. Not sure about Kimmie here, though.” Shego still felt odd about the lack of the gloves she was so used to - but she would have to do without them now. This was just going to be a party; it’s too warm for gloves, and she doesn’t need to worry about that now. “Still, I thought I would say thanks regardless. I hope you don’t mind me being here. And... her, too. We know each other.”

“Yeah... we do know each other.” Kim looked very mildly annoyed for a moment. “It’s a long story. Anyway, I’m Kim, and this is Shego. And it’s lovely to meet you.” She paused to check out the place again; there was so much to take in! “Yes, some water would be lovely. I sat down all the way to here so I’ll be fine this way for now, I think. Thank you so much!”

“Do you have soda?” Shego asked. “I’d have some of that. If not, though, water is also fine.”

“That’s true.” Kim only had to think about it for a few seconds before it hit her, “...I would say everyone knows me. I don’t use an alias like some people do. But if I could still count as just an agent, or a spy, yeah. We do balance each other out.” And that was awesome.

“Area 51? I’ve heard of this but I’m not sure I know. So it’s not an option, for sure. And I’m better at dancing than science - there will be no microscopes involved, promise. If I'm ever curious about anything about you, I'll just ask. Although... to be honest, if I were to ask, I’d have plenty of questions.”

“I mean, hey, you’ve got the whole secret agent thing going on, I’ve got the masked vigilante thing, it balances out... long as you’re not planning on bringing me to area 51 or anything and putting me under a microscope.” She gave Kim a playful nudge.

How strong are Kim and Shego?

I always thought Shego had superhuman strength but I'm not totally sure if it was ever confirmed in the show.

Kim seems more the athletic type to me, the "I can run fast/ I can run for a long distance without dropping tired" type. When it comes to physical strength... well, she's strong enough to knock down a bunch of adults who are trying to fight her. I would say she's pretty strong.

Shego is stronger, though, just based off the fact that she's older and that she's actually received training (I think this was said somewhere, either in the wiki or something, that she's very good at martial arts; then again, so is Kim through). Also, experience. She's older than Kim so she has more of that. And then we have the powers that getting hit by a comet gives you.

I am also not sure if the show confirms it but yeah, these two can sure as hell put up a fight and win it. I would imagine they might have a bit of trouble lifting heavy things, like normal girls do (and this would be especially valid for Kim I think). But they could throw a good punch or a bunch in that sense of the word strength, if ya catch my drift. Hope this makes sense :'D

"And that's something I am genuinely grateful for. I can flatter people to get shit out of them and I have done so. I would do it again if that would save my ass - there's too much to live for. But... I would feel worse if I'd done that to you now than how I would've felt about it back when we first met. If that counts for anything." She's still evil, for the most part, at least - even if some of her is still human.

Shego lowered herself on the opposite side of the bench with a sigh. "The things you do for some cash. I'll try not to get there, though. To the deep end, how I call it. That would mean hurting kids. And... I have a teaching degree. If you ever see me doing that, then I'm too far gone. And then you have permission to aim for my head." The words were said with a little lopsided smile, empty of mirth.

"Yeah? In any case, serious me would have judged you if you started flirting too much with me. There have been guys like that. Me and them would have ended up in complete disaster. Firstly because I'm a lot of things that are synonym to criminal, and then because... if the other person ain't that, or at least a little crazy, they'd never make it around me. For a guy with questionable morals - why else would you be hanging around me? - you're clever enough to stay just the right amount around trouble. Wouldn't make things worse for ya."

"...Me?" Shego points at herself. "Are you sure you don't have the wrong person, Val?" It has been fun to joke about and enjoy being liked - that's power in itself, and Shego knows it well - but for some reason, this time she feels doubt. "I'd have imagined you'd want to kill me."

"...Glad to know that isn't the case. I wouldn't kill you. Or anyone else." Is that her way of saying I like you and I'd flatter you back? Maybe. // @thephoenixnomore
