"Max none of that is helpful," he said as he finally opened the box, screamed and shoved it away from him as he moved away. "No, no, absolutely not. foist of on anyone else. No," his heart was still racing as he looked at Max with a scared face, his eyes becoming very big and the rest of him showing panicked.

ooc: oh the duplicity of will, he is sweet, caring, and selfless, and then in the same breath will read you to filth. I am still not sure jonathan has recovered from that one conversation in season 2.

ooc: while i think will could eventually come to like steve, i think steve would also have to like work at it. and i don't think its because of what he said about will (that will has never heard anyone mention to or around him), i think its just that he knows steve was a jock, and was mean to jonathan (he doesn't know the reasons), but steve's reputation precedes him and he has not been around to bond with steve or really see steve's heroism. i think its a healthy skeptism but he would never say it out loud if that makes sense. he has friends who like him, he is not going to poo poo on their friendship because of his own personal hangups unless it was getting in the way of hanging out with his friends. anyways this will probably turn into a full fledged headcanon at some point after i rewatch the series this summer.

Will really wanted to call Mike out on saying he was inexperienced. He distinctly remembers the summer he sucked face with El, to put in gently. It wasn't gentle wording but he wasn't about to say it out loud, because he was just going to give mike an inquisitive look of disbelief rather than actually calling him out on it. Additionally Will was fairly certain out of all their friends he had the least amount of experience. Sometimes it felt like he had the least amount of experience for anyone there age.

Will wasn't sure his cheeks could become anymore red, if anything he felt heat in his chest. Perhaps that was just his heart beating faster, "I'd like to try again," he said looking up at Mike through his lashes. He may be flushed, but he was trying at least a little to flirt.

┊ ┊ ┊ ♥︎ ❝ you're not bad at kissing. if anything, i would say we're both inexperienced, but not bad. ❞ he speaks the words as if trying to console the other, although the latter half comes off a bit bluntly. although, he wasn't wrong; mike, while having a little more romantic experience than will — despite it not feeling genuine a lot of the time — hardly knew how to identify what was a good kiss if it would kill him. mostly because he hardly considered himself a good kisser. best to not judge others.

❝ but i'm serious. i want to try again, if that's okay with you. ❞ he squirms as he says the words, embarrassed, freckled cheeks flushing darkly in the dim light of the room. he silently promises the other, this is him being genuine. if he at all looks like he's trying to flirt, the flustered expression on his cheeks would surely give him away. he hardly had the confidence to ask any of this, even if he did trust will with his life. and it showed in his further attempt to bring humor to the situation. ❝ practice makes perfect, right? ❞

just people calling will being SA'd a theory and they can kind of see it... It angers me for so many reasons some personal some just based on what we see on the show.

it was alluded to in the first episode when the theory was that he was hate crimes when he disappeared.

It was alluded to when we see him with a vine down his mouth I don't know how much more obvious you can get without it be an actual you know...

then we have season 2 the image of the "smoke" going into him is not only a callback to season 1 but Will describes it as feeling it EVERYWHERE. Like... I am not sorry that is not just allusion at that point, that is very much what it is.

horror as a genre when kids are involved has long involved sexuality and puberty but largely when it involves girls or women take Carrie or Beverley from It.

But when it is about a boy we all of a sudden don't want to see it, is it because it suddenly becomes to real? Or is it because it couldn't happen to a boy? Is it because when you think about the aids crisis and how tightly it is related to Will's story and the overarching metaphor for the ST story.... like you don't get away from it.

Curse shadow or whatever the fuck its called (the play) is why i hate trying to redeem bad guys because it makes people think henry or the mindflayer couldn't do that bad kind of act. But like they can. Every time Henry goes after someone it is inherantly sexual in nature season 3 with billy laying vecna's victim's down and saying what he does how he does is not a MISTAKE it is purposeful. But more people see it then because the "victim" is a girl. Then you have how he teases Nancy with the vision in season 4. How he holds her. HELL HOW HENRY acts with El in the entirety of the flashbacks should make you feel weird.

But when it comes to Will its suddenly not possible because of what?

Invalidating not just what we visually see on screen but also Will's words is awful.

While Mike's words meant everything to him. It was hard to describe just how much. Will didn't think Mike fully understood what he meant. He was going to have to be more explicit. He was going to have to tell him. He was scared mike wouldn't like all he was going to say. Whenever he told Mike truths about himself he was scared. He took a breath, and made sure he had Mike's attention, he had his eyes trained on him, "Mike," he said his voice quieter, more serious. "When I met you, my life changed. Happiness felt possible." Not that it wasn't before, Will had an amazing mom and brother after all. But his dad was still in the picture. And that is what made Mike coming into his life such a pivotal and critical thing.

"Even with my mom, and brother, you made me happy because you didn't judge me, or say anything but encourage me to be who I was." He paused, and looked down, before glancing back up at mike now, he wished he had a picture to help him explain he was not as good with words as Mike was. "I always came to you, no matter what because you always believed me, you would say something and even if I had been crying you'd get me to smile."

He took another breath, and slowed down to make sure that his words were actually what he intended to say and mean. He did not want his next words misconstrued, "My happiness didn't hinge on whether or not you were their, it feels like it is you. Nothing is as dark, I can still be sad, or angry, or whatever, but its never all encompassing because I know you're there, and you always are."

The way Mike said it wasn't bad, made him back up. And Will spiraled a little bit because of course this would happen to him. Well, that was it, the one person he loved, he could see himself with didn't think he was good at kissing. Its not like Will could practice, or had ever tried to practice. Up until recently Will had resigned himself to a lonely life of being happy for everyone else finding love and that would have to be enough. He even told his mom as such.

Like a record scratch, Will was pulled from his thoughts focusing in on what mike said. Another go. Those were essentially magic words, that had Will now trying to guess if Mike was just being flirtatious and trying to get another kiss out of him, or if he was earnest and wanted to actually try again. Will was clueless to figure it out, because as well as Will knew Mike, he wasn't the best at guessing what Mike was thinking or how he would react to things. "Well I want to," Will said with surety, but quietly as if he was embarrassed ( he was ), "I don't want you being stuck with someone who is bad a kissing." Not that he was implying Mike was stuck with him, Mike wasn't, he could leave because of any reason from he was unhappy to Will was bad at kissing, and Will would let him go because he loved Mike, and him unhappy was never something Will wanted or liked.
