XIX: The Sun – Tear

The Sun symbolizes happiness, joy, energy, optimism, and accomplishment. Occasionally, it is also associated with one’s initial happiness. Warm, radiant, and full of energy. It represents the dawn that comes after the darkest night.

My part for MapleStory X Tarot Card Collaboration! I chose The Sun because this arcana is represented by Tear HEHEHEHHEHE

Sunflowers are always potrayed as closely related to the sun, which is why I drew lots and lots of sunflowers!

Sunflowers are very….sunny….but it has its own charm, just like how Tear is! Tear is someone who is very cheerful and sometimes loud, but she has her moments too, and she is really, really strong in her own way.

I really like to think that Tear has her own delicate side of her, like how she would always care for Kyle and Veldie, in a way only she knows how to. That’s why I made her holding the sunflower (…delicately…), almost like how she holds her important ones in her heart. She has been bullied ever since she is young, but I think the strongest part of her is that she never did let it pull her down, but instead she made it a reason to smile.
