also getting reblogs tagged like 'reblogging to find later' or whatever is totally something i side eye what do u mean that's the only reason u reblog, tumblr is a site for reblogging, we're supposed to reblog and comment whatever thought we had that's what makes it fun

okay this isn't a targeted post but i honestly wish tumblr would just get rid of the like button. it's honestly discouraging to make posts/write fics and get zero interaction other than <3 like if you like the thing, just reblog it so other people can see it. i don't want to sound ungrateful or like i deserve to get attention bc i don't, it's just so fucking annoying. because then i see posts that are like 'dps fandom is dead' 'bring me back to 2021 fandom' like the reason 2021 dps fandom thrived is because we TALKED to each other. we made LONG ASS threads of replies. we RAN posts into the ground. if you thought something about a post/fanart/fic, you reblogged it and told everyone. it's YOUR damn blog. it's supposed to be filled with things YOU like. genuinely, what is everyone so afraid of?

ive thought about this scenario more times than its probably healthy ok ok

everyone knows im a ficwriter todd truther anyway so moving on from that

todd writes in a few genres -- he's like that one fic author u get obsessed with for a specific fandom and then u look at their dashboard and it's like they've written fics just for u

neil discovers him for a relatively niche fandom i say and he can catch every reference todd throws into his fics then suddenly he's up till 3 am reading all of that niche fandom's todd fics and then he gets through them all and he's so disappointed so he's about to start again or stalk todd's bookmarks but instead he looks at his dashboard and boom all other fandoms neil's in

he gives kudus, gives long long comments per chapter using quotes, bookmarks and subscribes all of todd's fics

when todd writes for a new fandom that neil isn't in, neil binge watches/reads and becomes a member of the fandom to truly enjoy todd's work

todd on the other hand is overwhelmed but pleased at this reader who seems to always be the first one to read his new fics <3
