I want a story about a king whose son is prophesied to kill him so the king is like āwhatever what am I supposed to do, kill my own kid wtf is wrong with youā so he just raises him as normal, doesnāt even tell him about the prophecy, and instead of some convoluted twist of events that leads to the kingās murder the son grows up and when the king is very old and dying and in excruciating pain the kid is just like alright I'mma put him out of his misery.
I legitimately enjoy that Fujimaru Ritsukaās (AKA Gudako/Gudao) whole superpower isĀ āhas the highest Master aptitude everā.
Ritsuka is a piss poor magus, knows the bare basics, comes from no notable lineage (in a setting where this is key), and is, as far as magi go, unremarkable and expendable. But, but, Ritsukaās Master aptitude, which is a variable, is so sky high and impossibly rich that they are the ultimate Master. They can bond with any Servant and utilize their abilities and Noble Phantasms to devastating effects. They can even earn the trust of Avenger-class Servants, who are fundamentally enemies of humanity and Masterless. They can tame even the craziest Berserker-class Servants without any danger of backlash. They can even bond with Servants like Spartacus, who is considered the ultimate Mulligan to draw in a Holy Grail War because his very essence hinges on rebelling against and killing those in command, which usually means Spartacus kills his Masters moments after the summoning.
This is in stark contrast with Olga Marie AKA The Director, who is a famous and expert magus with renown and the skill to back it, peerless in spellcasting and quite possibly one of the best magus in the world, but has extremely low Master aptitude. This is why sheās getting others to act as Masters in Chaldea in the first place instead of becoming a Master herself, despite being an impeccable magus. With that low an aptitude, she probably wouldnāt be able to control even theĀ āeasiestā and most manageable, agreeable, cooperative Servants. Olga Marie would get stabbed to death by dāEon, is what I am trying to say. Mashu would push Olga Marie down a staircase by the time Orleans rolls around.
Thatās honestly my favorite thing about Ritsuka: Shit ass mage, god tier friend.
āThe purpose of the collar is to protect the dog wearing it when it has to fight the wolves. The collar base protects the dogās throat and carotid arteries, while the spikes are intended to deter bites to the neck or even injure wolves trying to do so.ā
