100 Day Project; Day 1.

Based on the title photo. Fineliner and alcohol inks.

Doing one inchie a day for 100 days based on a flower or garden photo I’ve taken. An inchie is one inch square art.

I learned things doing this inchie. I find viola proportions challenging. Hopefully I’ll improve them with this practice. I drew the centre lines longer than I intended. And then thickened them too much with a dark purple marker. But I mixed Mauve Shadow and Pale Blue Porcelain Copic inks in a Fizz Wizz spoon to paint the petals with alcohol ink, as I needed slightly bluer on top and more purple on bottom. I’ve never mixed them before placing them on the substrate before. And I drew the leaves on then softened them to be more shadowy when the lines were too sharp. So some wins and some room for improvement.
