What my shed looks like now for the anon: The bed has been moved to the bottom bunk again, painted dark red/pink, with red velvet curtains so I can pretend to have a four poster bed. My dressing table is a tip and I have a clothes rail in between the bookshelves with a couple of shoe shelves above. Unfortunately my fairy lights have just broken but around my bed I have lots of postcards and a big picture of a saint with a sword through a bleeding heart in her chest that I found on the street, the same time I found all that vinyl. The only things that are in the same place from the time the shed was on Rookie are the two big bookshelves and the emergency Mars bar.

I don’t think most people realize just how common it is to be biphobic, and that not all biphobia is directly saying things like “all bisexual people are confused and shallow”. Exclude bisexuals from your dating pool on the basis of being bisexual and therefore more likely to cheat? Believe bisexual women are too shallow and stupid to understand the complexity of and participate in cultures we have been apart of for generations? Say that you wish X person is at least bisexual, as if bisexuality is just gay-lite? Imagine all bisexuals to be white, cisgender women? Refuse to recognize that bisexuals face higher rates of abuse, assault, homelessness, poverty, addiction, etc than most of the LGBT community because we have “straight passing privilege”? Promote the idea that bisexuality promotes the gender binary and excludes non-binary or transgender people in any way? You’re biphobic.
