How to Create a eCommerce Website for Free ($0).

My name is Bibhuti Bhusan Samantaray, Founder & CEO of Digidocs & Indiacrafts. It is my first official technical article in the filed of IOT & i am really very proud to share my experience. Actually i have created the following site with zero rupees. It will be immensely helpful for you if you want to do something in the filed of eCommerce. 

I won’t take much time & neither i will write long enough to bore everyone, i will straightly come to the point & explain it with example.

Firstly, you need to understand that, you will not able to create a eCommerce store like Amazon.com or Snapdeal.com after reading this article but one thing you will able to know that how to create a eCommerce site or Online store for any SMEs. So ultimately my focus is here on how to create a eCommerce site for a SME.

Let’s gets to the Point straight, Here you need the following free tools for creating the eCommerce websites.

Zoho.in for creating a free website

Instamojo.com for creating a payment gateway.

You can also use additional apps like PayPal if your product is intended for international customer & may be social store like Facebook Store for creating the buzz.

1. Zoho.in basically a website template provider like wix.xom, weebly.com or wordpress.com but only difference it is very easy to use & it is totally free including the Domain Name. So it means you are getting a proper website absolute free including the Domain name.

So now you need to decide which template you should use, how to list your product, where to write the description & many other things. In short now you have to customize the website as per your need. But you are still missing the most important part & that is price of the product & how to buy it.

2. Instamojo.com , If you don’t know about instamojo then it is an Indian version of payment Gateway site like PayPal but very easier to use & customization. So what you need to do here is you need to subscribe their Payment Gateway Service, they again don’t charge any upfront fees. So you will get the payment gateway for Free.

That is not all, here you need to remember one thing, suppose you are keeping 100 items in your Online store then you need to create 100 Gateway buttons along with you unique code, (refer India-crafts.in & click any purchase button) so that if anyone makes a purchase then you will able to know about it. If you won’t do that then it will be impossible to keep the track of the product sold.
