Ok so me and @nate-acmilan had a cult meeting to discuss this question. So to answer, Maldini himself didn't really have any gay rumors besides the pink polo one, and that was basically unfounded. Though the only thing I can say is that apparently, at the 2002 AC Milan Christmas party, there were moments where mics were passed around to the players, and apparently, he said that he would never forget the moment that Sheva, at the time a new player in 1999, asked to sleep in the same bed with him. But that's about it, more often it's the other way around, with other footballers saying gay things about him, and also something funny is it used to be a social stigma to say you liked Maldini where @nate-acmilan is from, because it would earn you gay allegations, but secretly everyone liked him. So yeah, it was mostly the other way around. Even today the reputation holds up, a good example being Rafael Leão, when he said, "I was told that he was one of the most charismatic people in the world, that he knew how to conquer you with his gaze. It was magnetic, they said.", somebody who also famously doesn't consider Paolo a father figure.

I AM UNFORTUNATELY NOT FAMILIAR! I know that Maldini has been "followed by gay rumours" for most of his career because 1) he was so fucking pretty when he was younger and 2) allegedly a journalist made a big deal of him "being single and wearing pink" when he was first starting out. and it kind of. stuck.

I feel like @toxicoldmanyaoi or @kvaradonaa might know more? or if anyone does pls feel free to chime in. All EYE know is that various ex-teammates talking about him get pretty starry-eyed. Italy nt Baggio waxed poetics about him being the best defender who ever lived blah blah "worth like fifteen men put together" whatever that meant. I remember a Shevchenko interview that was also like. very eyes emoji. Also this Thiago Silva out-of-context quote is fun.

tldr: I actually don't know! But I wouldn't be surprised if he had gay escapades frankly. I bet more men wanted to hit that than they'd have liked to admit

Ok, so in the last 23 days i've been talking to @nate-acmilan a lot and he really likes having sources for everything I tell him about Maldini. This has led me to two things, one, that others most likely want the sources to these stories, and two, I have found many sources for these things because of it. Also i've found a lot of random things too:

I think that everybody has different interpretations of what happened at his first training session, but what I originally heard was that Cesare just left him there and came back later, which is true. Also, he wasn't there for Paolo's debut match either, though to be fair it wasn't known it was going to be his debut. This source has both of those:

I ordered more magazines recently, three of them, plus a vhs tape with the scudetto season footage, because that's where like all the gay footage comes from. But these are the magazines, from different years but they were a good price so I got them.

They will get here in less then a month, but the vhs tape will take longer. Also I dont know what's actually in these at all, I did a search to see if anybody else posted what was in them and apparently not yet, so I have no clue what im about to get in the mail.
