› HORROR TENSION STARTERS PT I.
"Don’t turn around."
"Did you hear that?"
"You’re not alone here."
"It’s already too late."
"Something’s watching us."
"Stay quiet. Stay still."
"They’re right behind you."
"I wouldn’t go in there."
"Whatever you do, run."
"Keep the lights on."
"I saw it move."
"Don't let it see you."
"You’re shaking."
"It knows your name."
"I can smell the blood."
"Don’t breathe. Not yet."
"It’s inside the house."
"Close the door. Now."
"You weren’t supposed to survive."
"They’re coming for you."
"It's already inside you."
"I told you not to look."
"You're not safe with me."
"It’s feeding on us."
"This place is cursed."
"Why are you smiling?"
"I’m not alone in here."
"You’re bleeding."
"You're not you anymore."
"Get away from me."
"Don’t trust what you see."
"I heard it whisper."
"It’s wearing your face."
"You weren’t supposed to find this."
"The walls are listening."
"We’re trapped with it."
"You’re next."
"You’re too late."
"Did you lock the door?"
"It’s already in your head."
"Stop smiling. It’s not funny."
"That wasn’t me."
"You brought it here."
"It’s under the bed."
"You should’ve stayed dead."
"It’s not over yet."
"They never left."
"This isn’t real... is it?"
"It’s learning."

› SOFT ROMANCE → receiver to sender.
brushing snow off their shoulders
offering to carry their bag
humming a lullaby beside them
making sure their drink is just right
touching hands under the table
sharing a quiet moment in an elevator
pulling the blanket up over them
fixing a crooked button on their shirt
gently resting a hand on their knee
bringing them flowers “just because”
watching them in the soft morning light
adjusting their glasses for them
saving them the last bite
quietly placing their favorite book in their hands
squeezing their arm in silent support
brushing dust off their shoulder
letting their head rest on your chest
warming up a heating pad for them
kissing the top of their head in passing
whispering their name like a secret
setting their phone to charge
pouring their tea before your own
tucking a note into their pocket
drawing a small heart on their wrist
holding the back of their neck gently
pulling them away from the cold wind
leaning into each other on a train
pressing their hand over your heartbeat
offering your hoodie on a cold night
packing a snack for them
gently rubbing their shoulder while they talk
picking them wildflowers
saving a seat beside you for them
mouthing “you okay?” across the room
standing behind them while they cook
helping with their coat sleeves
asking if they’ve eaten today
tracing their laugh lines when they smile
turning their playlist into a shared one
leaving a mug of cocoa on their desk
tying your scarf around their neck
brushing your thumb across their wrist
sitting beside them during a tough day
helping them put on a bracelet
resting your head on their lap
carrying them when they fall asleep somewhere strange
painting their nails for them
pressing a kiss to their wrist
gently holding their chin to meet your gaze
leaving your scent on their pillow
guiding their hand while drawing
humming a song they like
quietly whispering “i missed you”
brushing a tear from their lash
hiding a gift for them to find later
gently pulling them into your arms during a bad dream
braiding their hair without asking
waiting up for them to get home
offering your lap as a pillow
warming their hands with yours in your pockets
shielding their eyes from the sun
holding their face during a long hug
wrapping your arms around their waist while cooking
softly squeezing their pinky when anxious
sharing a hoodie without asking
resting your head on their shoulder during a movie
lightly stroking their hair while they read
offering to write something for them
sneaking a Polaroid of them smiling
casually interlocking fingers while walking
wrapping an arm around them in their sleep
offering a tissue before they ask
kissing their knuckles one by one
gently drying their hair with a towel
placing their hand over your heart
taking their photo when they’re distracted
watching them laugh and smiling to yourself
opening the car door for them
waiting to make sure they’re inside safely
gently tugging on their sleeve to get their attention
letting them nap on your chest
setting an extra place at the table
lending them your favorite book
adjusting their jewelry
putting a hand on their back when guiding them
whispering “you’re okay, i’ve got you”
resting your foreheads together mid-hug
brushing rainwater from their hair
slipping your hand into theirs in silence
bringing a warm drink to their bedside
folding their laundry with a soft smile
reaching out instinctively to steady them
tracing the veins on their wrist with your finger
taking off their shoes after a long day
straightening their tie gently
offering to help them undress when tired
letting your head fall on theirs in a quiet moment
playfully hiding behind them when nervous
buttoning up their cardigan slowly
whispering “you make me feel safe”

› don't go back to them → sentence starters inspired by amelia moore.
we both know how this ends
to you it's something real
to him it's something physical
no girl don't fuck with him
don't go back again
don't tell me you're still seeing them
are you sure this is what you want?
don't go back to them
baby girl give me the phone
you know you should leave them alone
we're too close
i know your type
do you remember what happened last time?
what are you thinking?
do you think that's a good idea?
this feels familiar, doesn’t it?
you deserve better than this
don’t let them in again
i’ve seen this before
tell me what you’re really feeling
why are you still answering?
that’s not your responsibility
do you even like who you are with them?
they don't get to hurt you twice
you already know the answer

beverly writing poetry in college just make sense to me like I feel like she would consider it to be stupid at first because who writes about their feelings? But then she would learn to enjoy it and write about her feelings and be able to get them all out kinda like coming back to her voice after being silenced for years.

𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐑𝐏 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 . . . ( pt 1. the art of touch ) Set the stage for longing glances, lingering touches, and the quiet tension of unspoken words. ✧ ˚₊ Themes: soft, slow burn & a touch of angst
✧ › SOFT & FLUFFY .
My muse tucks a loose strand of hair behind your muse’s ear, their fingers lingering for a second longer than necessary.
My muse falls asleep on your muse’s shoulder during a long ride.
My muse surprises your muse with breakfast in bed, complete with a handwritten note.
My muse pulls your muse under their umbrella during a sudden downpour.
My muse gently wipes away a tear from your muse’s cheek, their touch tender and careful.
My muse laces their fingers with your muse’s absentmindedly, only realizing it after a few seconds.
✧ › TENSION & SLOW BURN .
My muse fixes your muse’s tie/dress/jacket, their hands brushing against their skin for just a moment.
My muse leans in as if to whisper something, their lips dangerously close to your muse’s ear.
My muse catches your muse’s wrist before they can leave, their grip tightening just slightly.
My muse watches your muse from across the room, their gaze lingering even when caught.
My muse challenges your muse to a bet, knowing exactly what they’ll ask for if they win.
My muse absentmindedly plays with your muse’s fingers while they talk, not even realizing they’re doing it.
✧ › ANGST & EMOTIONAL .
My muse pulls your muse into a tight hug, as if afraid to let go.
My muse wipes away the blood from your muse’s face, their hands trembling.
My muse shows up at your muse’s doorstep in the rain, eyes filled with something unspoken.
My muse gently cups your muse’s face, whispering, “Why do you always have to make things so difficult?”
My muse kisses your muse like it’s the last time they’ll ever get the chance.
My muse lets your muse go, even though it’s the last thing they want to do.
✧ › TEASING .
My muse corners your muse against a wall, a smirk playing on their lips.
My muse whispers something in your muse’s ear that makes them blush.
My muse pulls your muse onto their lap with zero warning.
My muse playfully steals a bite of your muse’s food, then grins as they lock eyes.
My muse deliberately leans in closer just to see your muse’s reaction.
My muse drags their fingers slowly down your muse’s arm, pretending it was unintentional.
