Choosing the Right Digital Workplace Platform for Your Organization: Key Considerations
Introduction: In today's rapidly evolving work environment, organizations are increasingly turning to digital workplace platforms to streamline collaboration, enhance productivity, and foster a connected workforce. However, with numerous options available in the market, choosing the right digital workplace platform can be a daunting task. This blog post aims to guide you through the process of selecting the most suitable platform for your organization by highlighting key considerations that should be taken into account.
Define Your Organization's Needs and Objectives: Before diving into the selection process, it's essential to clearly define your organization's needs and objectives. Consider factors such as team size, remote work requirements, communication preferences, and collaboration needs. Identifying specific pain points and desired outcomes will help you narrow down the options and find a platform that aligns with your unique requirements.
Assess Platform Features and Functionality: Evaluate the features and functionality offered by different digital workplace platforms. Look for capabilities such as real-time messaging, video conferencing, document sharing, task management, and integration with existing tools. Consider whether the platform provides a comprehensive solution or if it requires integration with additional tools to meet your organization's needs.
Scalability and Flexibility: Consider the scalability and flexibility of the digital workplace platform. As your organization grows and evolves, the platform should be able to accommodate changing requirements. Assess whether the platform can support a growing user base, handle increased data volume, and adapt to future technology advancements.
User Experience and Adoption: A user-friendly interface and intuitive user experience are crucial for successful platform adoption. Evaluate the platform's user interface, navigation, and overall user experience. Consider whether it offers mobile accessibility and if it supports multiple devices and operating systems. Additionally, read user reviews and testimonials to gauge the platform's adoption rate and user satisfaction.
Security and Data Privacy: Security is a paramount consideration when selecting a digital workplace platform. Assess the platform's security measures, including data encryption, access controls, user authentication, and compliance certifications. Ensure that the platform adheres to industry standards and regulations to protect sensitive organizational data and maintain data privacy.
Integration Capabilities: Evaluate the platform's ability to integrate with existing systems and tools used within your organization. Seamless integration with communication tools, project management software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other critical applications can enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
Conclusion: Choosing the right digital workplace platform is a critical decision that can significantly impact your organization's productivity and collaboration. By considering these key factors, such as defining your needs, assessing platform features, scalability, user experience, security, integration capabilities, and vendor support, you can make an informed decision that aligns with your organization's requirements and sets the foundation for a successful digital transformation journey.

What is needed to move the needle on employee engagement?
Creating and sustaining an engaged workforce still remains a major challenge for most organizations. Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace report states that 85% of employees are not engaged at work. This is a high margin, something that organizations should be wary of. For implementing any kind of strategy aimed at boosting engagement, it is pivotal to familiarize yourself with what employee engagement essentially means. Investopedia defines it as the level of enthusiasm and dedication a worker feels toward their job.
A more elaborate definition would be how a workplace brings in the right set of conditions in order for employees to feel motivated to perform their jobs at maximum efficiency and align themselves with the goals and values driving the organization. So, at the base level, organizations should have a clear understanding of engagement principles and then find ways to effectively put them into action. Bringing all collaboration and communications under one roof is one step to achieving this. For companies that have a mix of hybrid and remote workers, investing in digital workplace solutions like InfinCE seems a viable option. Such virtual workspaces bring a cohesive platform where employees can get every aspect of their job done.
Another way to get these engagement initiatives rolling forth successfully is by ensuring the processes that go behind from HR to job assignment and so forth are as smooth and timely as possible. A clear and transparent process is a sure way to keep employees satisfied and their queries or requests resolved at the earliest. From the side of managers at the top and medium level, engagement simply involves making sure that each employee under them is offered all the resources they need to get their job done fast.
Learning and development strategies are part of this and the manager can ensure that their teams get adequate opportunities to reskill themselves to better suit their job roles and turn into active and productive members of the organization.
Leadership has a great role here by setting an example of what active engagement really looks like. In a company, the leaders and upper management can start by digging into the root causes of disengagement and seeking out employees who are adrift from their work and career goals. They can personally mentor and inspire these employees and act as a model for them to emulate. This will instill a change in perspective as employees will begin to orient themselves with organizational objectives and actively step up to be enthusiastic and contributing elements that drive the business forward.

Innovative Uses Of Technology In HR/Workplace Culture
Surveys show that only 41% of deskless workers are actually engaged at their jobs. As a growing online marketplace for medical products and equipment, we have noticed a significant disparity between deskless and desk-based workers. Among these, our deskless staff who are into direct sales and consulting are the least engaged.
Mostly away from the office, they have minimal access to technology compared to their desk-based counterparts. We came to know that our remote deskless staff struggled to access internal systems or communication tools. They remain left out of major company initiatives and opportunities, thus declining engagement further. All of this had an adverse effect on sustaining our workplace culture and processes, plus a huge drop in productivity.
In view of these difficulties, we concluded that an all-inclusive approach is needed. One that bridges knowledge and information sharing with seamless collaboration. At this point, we decided that it was best to deploy a digital workplace platform that enabled distributed deskless employees to access the needed technology tools.
InfinCE was the platform that we opted for. As a full-fledged digital workplace, InfinCE combined the best of both worlds. It featured an extensive suite of tools that made collaboration and communication easier. Post-deployment, we witnessed a steady increase in engagement and productivity among our frontline staff. They now get equal access to business tools like emails, virtual desktops, and communication modules like chat, video calls, and business phones to connect to colleagues or stakeholders hassle-free.
Besides, the dashboard feature in InfinCE made it easy for our deskless staff to stay updated on important company updates. It became virtual spaces where they can share ideas, communicate, and collaborate on assignments.
Another area where we made significant progress was in training and development. With most of our employees working away from the office, it can be challenging to provide the same level of training and development opportunities that would be available in an office setting.
To overcome this challenge, we started using the in-house learning experience platform in InfinCE called Skill Lake. This way we were able to reskill our deskless staff through a wide range of courses and training programs. These allowed them to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule, which helped them stay updated and better perform their designated tasks.
Through all these initiatives, we successfully raised employee engagement at our workplace and built a thriving culture.

Innovation In Remote Digital Collaboration
The pandemic made a rift in our global employee base, with a huge part of them going remote. Over the years, as the severity of the pandemic died down, we still held to the tools as a return to normalcy was done in phases, with most of our workforce still working fully remotely or in a hybrid manner.
We realized that phasing out remote collaboration tools now that the situation is well under control is obviously going to affect our future interests. With the rapid push to digital collaboration and the enormous potential it carried, we started to increasingly rely on a full-fledged digital workplace called InfinCE.
InfinCE became our default channel which our entire work process revolved around. For instance, our different teams use the communications boards feature to share important organizational updates and other stats or goals related to each team within the organization. We were able to build a people-centric culture by bringing together all our employees in one familiar space to connect and engage with each other thus driving efficiency. Besides, all of its inbuilt features like meetings, chat and business phones made collaboration a whole lot easier.

Unleashing Employee Potential: The Key to Building a Great Culture
Creating a culture of empowerment and growth is crucial for any organization that wants to achieve long-term success. At Infince, we understand the importance of unleashing the potential of our employees, and we believe that this approach is the key to building a great culture.
While giving employees autonomy and freedom is important, we recognize that it is not enough to create a truly outstanding workplace. That’s why we focus on the concept of “unleashing” our employees, providing them with the resources and support they need to achieve their full potential.
As leaders, we strive to balance multiple forces to encourage growth and development in our team members. First and foremost, we challenge our employees to take on tasks that may be outside their comfort zone or experience level. We act as catalysts, encouraging employees to take risks and grow, rather than just managing their day-to-day activities.
Second, we adopt a coaching mindset rather than a paternalistic one. We help employees learn from their mistakes and use those lessons to improve, rather than shielding them from failure or setting them up for success. We provide support when needed but allow employees to fall and get back up on their own.
Finally, we inspire confidence in our employees while also providing clear guidance and direction. We understand that it is not enough to simply encourage people and make them feel good; we must also provide the necessary expertise and knowledge to help employees grow and develop their skills.
By focusing on unleashing our employees and providing them with the resources and support they need to grow, we can create a workplace that inspires creativity, innovation, and excellence. At Infince, we believe that this approach to leadership is crucial for building a great culture and achieving outstanding results.
