As per that last post, a lot of me worries that the way this story Happens may read as incomprehensible to people, but experiencing stories like those that warp their universes and throw rules out the window is so viscerally cathartic because Those Stories literally Could Not Exist any other WAY. None of the emotional weight or message feels lost on me—if anything they only get deeper the more you revisit them, the more YOU grow and change as a person, and return to them with new eyes.

Now I’m not saying I’m capable of creating something on that level, but it’s absolutely the kind of experience I want this story to embody to some meaningful degree. And seeing it Happen in stories like those inspires me more than anything.

If I could name any art that's revitalized my faith in infinit8ion As A Story (specifically art that I hadn't yet experienced when writing its first version), I'd absolutely point to You're Breaking My Heart by Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich, ENA: Dream BBQ by Joel Guerra, and Take Off The Blindfold, Adjust Your Eyes, Look In The Mirror, See The Face of Your Mother by Jonni Peppers.

Speculative fiction, locational distortion, surrealism, and absurdism ABOUND and it's AWESOME and I LOVE stories that do this stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moral of the story is that inspiration awaits at every turn, art is awesome and inevitable, and by all means check these incredible stories OUT!!!!1!!!1!!1!!!!!!!
