THE SOUND OF ... S-DIVISION

S-DIVISION debuted in august of 2018 with the long-play album THE WAVE, an experimental rock album that received critical acclaim for its songwriting as well as the individual members' talent. the album was one of Infinite Stage Entertainments greatest successes, selling nearly 400.000 copies on release. the band was also applauded for their ability to perform live, popularity rising due to their successful performances on music shows.

the band released their first ep, GROWING PAINS, early in 2019. the release featured the titular song as well as an acoustic version, with the only physical album released being a platform-version. the album still sold well, selling nearly 300.000 copies in the first week of release.

soon after, the mini album YOURS/MINE was released in mid-2019, which took a stylistic step away from earlier releases and instead had a more toned-down and heartfelt sound. despite being a deviation from their original sound, this album appeared more palatable to the general public, quickly outselling their debut in the week of release, and topping record charts at nearly 500.000 sales within the first week. the band promoted title track CASUAL for nearly five weeks, and it was the first song of the band to become popular on social media.

YOUR/MINE earned the group their first music show wins, as well as awakening rumors of a potential international tour. due to the controversies following this album, the members have since decided to no longer perform these songs at their shows, though some, like Run To You remain fan-favorites.

while their fanbase was growing, it was clear that there was an internal struggle going on with the band. their ep THE LONELIEST was released only four months after YOURS/MINE, and received hardly any promotion. unlike the previous release, THE LONELIEST was seen as a step back for the band, hardly selling any copies on release and receiving negative feedback from critics and fans alike. the album was yet another startling shift in sound for the band, with main track Like We Used To being criticized online for being downright depressing.

it took nearly a full year for the band to get back to normal, releasing the album RAIN CHECK in the spring of 2021 after a brief hiatus. while popular prior to release, the album received less than favorable reviews once it was released. it was especially criticized for its disjointed sound, with some tracks being called 'filler tracks'. tracks Happy Death Day and Sweet Chaos were both promoted for three weeks on various music shows, with only Sweet Chaos ever winning any wins. still, the album outsold previous releases of the band, selling nearly 600.000 copies in the first week of release.

later, during the fall of 2021, the band released mini album Gimme Some More. while not as popular prior to release, the album gained favor with fans after they could hear the full album. the band promoted title track Gimme Some More for four weeks, and after exploding in popularity online they also performed Gravity at several music shows. the album only sold around 100.000 copies on release, but afterwards became a more popular item in stores and, later, with online resellers.

seemingly having rediscovered their sound, the band released mini album ADRENALINE and ep 입 다물어 (shut UP!) within months of each other in 2022. both albums were noted for their up-tempo tracks and intense sound. both the title track ADRENALINE and Break the Wall were promoted for an extended time, with promotions almost running up until the release of 입 다물어 (shut UP!). during the first week of release, ADRENALINE sold nearly 400.000 copies, solidifying the fact that S-DIVISION was completely back.

this was when another unofficial hiatus hit the band, with official channels insisting that the band was hard at work producing their next album, but the members seemingly taking time off to spend with family or, generally, away from the attention of fans. it was only nearly a year later that they came back with their album BIRTHDAY SUIT. the album generated a lot of attention online, with several of the members being more prominently featured on the album compared to previous releases. title track Freakin' Bad became a hit on social media, even reaching international charts and reaching the Billboard Top 100 at sixth place for nearly five weeks. the album sold nearly 3 million copies in total, and established itself as one of the band's most popular albums.

in late 2023, following a creative overhaul at ISE, the band released mini album OUTLAWS. with its cowboy concept and seemingly intricate storyline, the album was a deviation from regular S-DIVISION albums, which were usually written by the band based on their own lives and emotions. still, it was clear that fans loved this album, with social media channels being covered in cowboy hat emojis even now. the album sold a total of 5 million copies, selling 450.000 copies in the first week of release. on the heels of the promotional period for title track Shoot Me, the band announced their long-awaited world tour, the STARZ TOUR.

THE SWEETEST SOUND ... THE DISCOGRAPHY OF SUG★R

debuting in 2016 with the album GIRL TO GIRL under Infinite Stage Entertainment, SUG★R is the group credited with the revival of the company, as they are the first ISE group that managed to break through and become a true success.

closely after this successful debut, SUG★R released their first mini album, SELFISH, in early 2017. this album continued their central concept of confidence and girl power, but added a bit more edge to their sound. title track As If It's Your Last topped international charts for nearly four weeks, and helped to make the group become known to western audiences. they released mini album ACT UP only four months later, with title track Go Hard helping the girls win their first ever music show award only a year after their debut.

ISE seemed determined to keep the girls busy, as only a few weeks after the release of this ep the group began the asia leg of what would later become their international SO SWEET tour. two months and ten tour dates later, the group began working on mini album Sixth Sense, which released at the end of 2018. the title track of this mini album received four music show awards, and the album sold over 200,000 copies in the pre-order phase alone. Sixth Sense was remarkably different from the group's prior releases, having a lighter pop sound. while fans clearly enjoyed the tracks, many netizens expressed a hope that SUG★R would return to their original sound in their next comeback.

with the completion of the Sixth Sense promotional period came the start of the north american leg of the SO SWEET tour, marking SUG★R as the first group under ISE to tour internationally. during this tour, during this tour in north america, the group also released their first ep, Lovesick Girls. the album was the first under ISE to be produced by american producers, and received mixed reviews from korean fans. though it sold nearly two thousand albums within the first week of sales, and became a fan-favorite.

in mid-2019 the group returned to korea to work on their second full album, UNAPOLOGETIC. around this time, fans became worried that the girls were being exploited by the company, seemingly not having had any downtime between their debut and the release of the album. still, it became one of SUG★Rs best-selling releases, with the album currently having over 3 million sales internationally. UNAPOLOGETIC was seen as being perfect for SUG★Rs concept, with strong messages of female empowerment in title tracks Iconic and My Satisfaction. during this era, a SO SWEET tour movie was released, as well as a series of unplugged recordings of SUG★Rs biggest hits that were posted to youtube.

in 2020 the group released an ep and a mini album back to back, with ep BAD/GOOD releasing four months after UNAPOLOGETIC, and mini album i TO i being released in the fall of that same year. both comebacks had a remarkably darker sound, and the promotional periods were criticized for the fact that the girls looked noticeably exhausted and irritable. after a seven-week promotional period for BAD/GOOD, the company announced that SUG★R would go on a hiatus for an indeterminate amount of time.

in 2023, after many fans had already accepted that SUG★R was likely to disband, the group had a comeback with album (DON'T) CALL ME. title track HIP became the most successful song of the year, winning 15 music show awards, making it the most popular song ever released under the company. the album has several memorable tracks, with Karma and Paint The Town especially becoming fan favorites. the album sold close to 4 million copies, and is SUG★Rs most popular release to date.

later that same year, the company underwent some major changes, with SUG★R again entering a minor hiatus as leader Hyejin became involved in a lawsuit against former ISE ceo Cho Hosung. during the spring of 2024, SUG★R finally had another comeback. Better Things is much more stripped down and sweet, and even the members themselves acknowledged that this was a deviation from their normal sound. the group did a promotional period for title track Better Things, and soon after also did a shorter promotional period for Life's Too Short. during the promotion for the album, the group had several pop-up cafes around korea in collaboration with angel-in-us coffee, releasing their own limited drinks to be sold at all angel-in-us coffee houses. this contributed to album sales, selling over 700,000 copies just within the first three weeks of release.

it has only been five days since member Kim Minho was removed from Infinite Stage Entertainment’s boy group BOYFRIENDZ, and the company has already announced the idol that will be replacing him. Lee Haru, who had been a trainee at ISE for the past two years, is mostly known to the public for his appearance earlier in february in the LIMIT/LESS mv for ‘Cupid’, their valentines day release. netizens fell in love with the then-trainee for his ‘perfect’ visuals and demanded that ISE soon debut him, but now it seems that they might turn on him.

Kim Minho was removed from BOYFRIENDZ on february 29 following his alleged abuse of other idols. many netizens speculated that he was fired for other reasons, however, as Minho was spotted in a seemingly compromising position with another male idol. ISE has since been under fire for alleged homophobia, with mainly western fans calling for a boycott. 

still, Haru seems undeterred by the online reaction, posting for the first time on the BOYFRIENDZ instagram earlier today, thanking the fans for their warm welcome and promising that he will work hard for them.

following increased online discussion on the behavior of BOYFRIENDZ member Miles, Infinite Stage Entertainment released an official statement on february 29th declaring that Kim Minho, known by stage name Miles, would be departing from the boy group. the label stated, “Miles will withdraw from the company,” though also promising that BOYFRIENDZ will not continue as a four-member group, and is instead working towards debuting a new member.

as previously reported, Miles denied all allegations of abuse towards his peers, even stating that the video leaked to twitter had been falsified and taken out of context. the video shows the idol allegedly drunk and getting into a fight with S-DIVISION member Atlas during the promotional party of the group’s most recent album, Outlaws. 

Infinite Stage Entertainment’s release further clarified that Miles will no longer be signed with the label, as well as the fact that the company fully stands behind the safety and comfort of their idols.

Soojin first met him in the hallway.

Of course, she'd seen him before that, either from afar as he corralled his group into a practice room, or on her phone as she watched music show stages and music videos and variety shows.

She might've been a bit of a fan.

She'd been exiting The Archetypes practice room – not that it was officially theirs yet, they weren't big enough to get their own – staring down at her phone. She was reading a text from her father, some sort of Bible passage that he might've just made up, when she collided with someone. Whoever they were, they were all bone and muscles, and she fell to the ground as if she'd walked straight into a wall. Her phone swandived from her hand as she smacked her head onto the floor.

"Fuck," the person said, crouching down to help her and then she was eye to eye with Akito from BUTTERFLYEFFECT.

If you asked Hyemi, she would have said it was due to the minor concussion she had, but the second they made eye contact, Soojin was head over heels for him.

She’d never been the kind of person who believed in love at first sight - It wasn’t the kind of spiritualism she’d been brought up with - but she knew at that very moment that he was the one for her.

“Are you okay?” he asked, deep voice making her body vibrate from her head to her toes.

He grabbed her hand to pull her feet, and she was thankful that she only stumbled a little.

She nodded, mouth dry. Her head was fuzzy and the room was spinning, but how else was she supposed to feel when the guy she’d had a crush on for ages was in front of her? “Yeah, uh, I’m okay. Just a little dizzy. But, I’ll, um, It’ll go away.”

He smiled at her, tilting his head like she was just a little ridiculous and he didn’t know what to do with it. “I’m sure it will,” he said, voice warm with amusement, “But I still feel terrible. How do you feel about me buying you lunch to make up for it?”

That was the beginning of the end.

“He’s a bad idea.” Hyemi announced as Soojin walked into the apartment. She’d just returned from her lunch date with Akito and her heart was ready to burst.

Blinking in surprise - She wasn’t expecting anyone else to be home - she paused in her tracks. “Who?”

Amber rolled her eyes from where she was sitting on the other end of the couch. Lucky was nestled between her knees, getting her hair braided. Why was everyone home right now? “What’s his face from BUTTERFLYEFFECT. Don’t play dumb.”

“She’s not playing,” Cassie muttered from where she was curled up against Hyemi’s side. Hymei pinched her on the side.

Soojin’s hand had been caught in the metaphorical cookie jar. “Oh. I didn’t think you guys knew about him. About us.”

They’d been on three dates already, and it felt like they were building towards something. Sooner or later, he’d ask her to be his girlfriend. She was sure of it.

“You’re not good at being secretive, Jinnie,” Cassie said, sounding disappointed in her. She was always disappointed in someone. “You left your texts open last night when you got in the shower. Lucky saw them.”

“And you giggle at your phone like a schoolgirl,” Amber added.

Soojin couldn’t even find it in herself to be embarrassed. So she was giddy with love? What was the problem?

“He’s a bad person,” Hyemi said, stealing her attention. “You should hear the stories of the things he did during his trainee days. He was violent and horrible to everyone who wasn’t in his stupid inner circle.”

Cassie nodded in agreement. “I was only there for the tail end of it, but he was a demon.”

Amber pulled a little too hard on Lucky’s hair as she spoke up, making the younger girl grunt. “You guys know Ari from SUGAR, right? Heejin told me that he and her had a thing, but he wasn’t over Sookyung, and he, like, cheated on her a bunch of times, and he refused to call her his girlfriend. Apparently he was a menace for weeks after she dumped him.”

Soojin loved her members, she really did. But it was during times like this that she also kind of hated them. Why didn’t they want her to be happy?

“Why should I care what stupid Heejin says? We all know that she’s a liar who loves to start drama. Her being your girlfriend doesn’t change that,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest. Lucky gasped. “And why should I care what he did during his trainee days? You guys were perfect angels too, huh? Lucky literally put Nair in someone’s shampoo!”

Hyemi sighed as Cassie laughed at the memory. “We’re just looking out for you, Jin. We don’t want you to end up getting hurt.”

“Well it’s too late for that,” she exclaimed before storming out of the room.

She’d never been to his dorm, even though they’d been together for two months. He said he didn’t want to mix business and pleasure, then took her to a hotel room. She’d thought it was so romantic, being all alone with him. It was as if they were the only two people in the world, hidden under those crisp white sheets.

He’d smiled after she’d given him head, said she was beautiful for the first time.

She still wanted to go to his dorm. She wanted to see how he lived. Wanted to see if he was messy or a neatfreak like she presumed. She wanted to know what color his comforter was and what toothpaste he used.

The next morning as they left, he didn’t even bother to use the complimentary hotel mouthwash.

She met his members once.

It was only in passing, because Akito just had to stop back at their dorm to grab his wallet, but she knew from the fleeting meeting that she’d love them. When she saw them all together in their living room, they looked like a family.

Heejin - who she already kindasorta knew - was texting someone, probably Amber, auburn hair pulled into a ponytail on the top of her head. She smiled lazily when she saw Soojin standing there, allteeth. Xinyi was engrossed in some kind of game on her computer, if the swearing at cat headphones was any indication, but she still sent Soojin a wave. Sungho and Bambi (Soojin wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to call him by his name because they’d never actually spoken)  were curled together like cats on the sofa, Bambi sleeping against his chest.

And Sookyung was sprawled on the floor, staring at the ceiling. She was gorgeous. That was the only way Soojin could describe her. Long legs, ink black hair splayed out like a wave hitting the shore, a body most girls would kill for. Soojin went a bit breathless at the sight of her.

As Akito returned to the living room, wallet in hand, she sat up, meeting Soojin’s eyes. Then she smiled and the world stopped spinning.

Soojin got it, for a second, why everyone was so obsessed with her.

Before she could dwell on it, Akito grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the hallway, without so much as a goodbye.

Akito was a man of many rules. He said that it was how he managed to make his life operate so smoothly. And he had quite a few for Soojin.

Don't call him during the day. Don't wear red lipstick because he hated the way it stained his mouth. Don't bitch about work when they were together. Simple things, little things to make their relationship work.

But the most important one was this: Don't talk about Sookyung.

Of course Soojin had to break it. 

They’d been having a nice night, cooped up in her bedroom with the door wide open, like she was sixteen, because Hyemi refused to let him anywhere else in the apartment but she wanted to be able to keep an eye on her. He’d been showing her a new track he was working on. It was dark and sexy, and she knew that Yeojin would never allow it for his group, but she liked that he believed it would.

Then he got the text from Sookyung.

For a second, she was pleased to know that his members knew about her. But then reality hit her over the head like a brick. “That one girl” because she didn’t know her name. “That one girl” because there were probably others.

“Does she know about us?” she asked, even though she knew the answer.

Akito shrugged. He met her eyes, sending her a smile. Instead of filling her with warmth, it filled her with dread. He was trying to distract her, to disarm her, so she didn’t fight him. “She knows enough.” He brushed a piece of hair away from her face. “I wanna keep you to myself.”

She wasn’t stupid even though everyone thought she was. She’d heard the stories from Amber and Heejin and all the other gossipy little bitches in the company. About how he was still hung up on Sookyung, his ex, even though she wanted nothing to do with him. About how he was a liar and a cheater. About how he once smacked a hookup in the mouth for teasing him about pining over a girl.

And it wasn’t like she hadn’t seen the texts. She’d gone through his phone one night, out of curiosity. (And really, it was his fault. For someone so smart, he still had his password as 5678.) Sookyung was professional, aloof, even cold at times. She didn’t talk to him unless it was about work or one of their members. Akito pushed and prodded for more, asked her how she was doing, asked her if she was thinking of him. It was honestly pathetic.

A spark had been ignited within her, and she knew there was no chance of snuffing it out. “You’re full of shit! She doesn’t even know my name!”

He scoffed, eyes rolling to the heavens. “Why would she need to know your name?”

What the hell was his problem? “Because I’m your girlfriend?”

He sighed. Pinched the bridge of his nose as if she was a child getting on his nerves. 

Without thinking, she spat, "I don't understand why you refuse to get over her."

The palm to her cheek stung like electricity. Her ears rang, and when she brought her hand up to her skin, it was hot to the touch. She could feel where his stupid ring had bitten into it, burning hotter than the rest of it. What if he had broken skin? How would she explain that?

“Fuck,” he breathed, “I’m sorry. I-” There was no remorse on his face, no shame in his voice. He sounded resigned more than anything. 

Holding her cheek, she said, “Get out.”

For once, he was surprised with her, instead of staring at her like he knew her next ten moves. It made pride tingle under his muscles but then it was eaten by her white hot rage. “What? You’re kicking me out over a stupid argument?”

“You just hit me, Akito!” she exclaimed, as if he’d somehow forgotten. She wouldn’t let him forget. “That’s just an argument to you?”

He groaned, throwing his head back in annoyance. “I didn’t mean it!”

“Get out!” she screamed, so loud that it bounced off the walls. “If I have to tell you again, I’m calling Hyemi in here!”

“What is she gonna do?” he asked, with a laugh. “If you want me to leave, you have to make me.”

He stood to his full height, staring down into her eyes. Fear struck her in the chest and he smirked when he saw it on her face. 

At the top of her lungs, she shouted, “Hyemi!”

In seconds, the older girl was there, holding their biggest kitchen knife. There was no fear evident, just a stonecold stare that made a chill run of Soojin’s spine. 

In her most measured voice, the voice she used when Amber and Cassie were arguing and when she needed to take control of the situation, she said, “Get the fuck out, Akito. Before I gut you like the animal that you are.”

He tried to hit her with his blank stare that supposedly brought trainees to their knees, but she gave no reaction. “And how will you explain that to Yeojin? To the police?”

Hyemi shrugged. “I’d just give her the thirteen testimonies from all the girls you’ve hurt, including Sookyung-” The mention of her name made his jaw clench, “And show her the footage of you hitting Soojinnie.” She pointed to the camera in the corner of the room. “You’re not the only one with surveillance shit. Mine is just consensual. Now leave before we have an even bigger problem.”

He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. “Make me.”

She lunged at him with the knife. He flinched away, cowering like a hit dog.

Soojin had never seen someone more pitiful.

Hyemi sent him a smile, a real once, obviously amused by his show. “This is your last warning.”

Akito stood there for a long silent moment, watching her watch him. Soojin knew he was a pusher, but she hoped he was as smart as he thought he was, and didn’t push Hyemi. He was a force of nature, sure, but she was a fighter. And she didn’t stop until she drew blood.

Finally, he sighed.

They both watched as he gathered his things, avoiding their eyes like a scolded child. They watched as he walked out of her room, and out of the apartment, slamming the door behind him. They watched and waited in silence until a full minute passed.

Then Hyemi left to return the knife to its home.

And Soojin was alone.

Her head was spinning, and she wondered for a fleeting moment if you could get a concussion from getting slapped. Would she have to go to the doctor? Oh, God, would she have to report this? What would she even say?

She forced herself to sit as her eyes welled with tears.

“Oh God,” she breathed. She couldn’t breathe. “Oh God, oh God.”

A quiet voice pulled her from her crisis. “Jinnie?”

Lucky, and the rest of the girls were standing in her doorway. “Can we come in?”

Not trusting herself to speak, she nodded, and then they were a mass of girl surrounding her like an octopus.

Hyemi kissed the top of her head. “My Jinnie,” she said, lips pressed against her hair, “You were so brave.” Lucky nodded against her shoulder.

“Fuck him,” Cassie said, as Amber said, “He’s so lucky Hymei isn’t as insane as the rest of us because we would’ve killed him.”

A sob burst from her chest and Hymei ran her fingers through her hair.

“It’s okay,” she said, “You’re safe. We’re not going to let him hurt you.”

She wailed like a baby, and Cassie giggled, even as she squeezed her hand. “What am I supposed to do?”

Hyemi kissed her head again. “We’ll figure it out in the morning,” she said. “Right now, we’re going to make sure you feel alright. That’s the only thing we have to worry about right now.”

Thirty minutes later, they were all in the living room, a pile of girl, limbs entangled as they lied under a blanket fort. Soojin was still shaken up, still scared and so confused, but her last thought was that she loved her girls. That she loved her family.

A series of instagram stories from Noah would drop, giving fans a look into what he's been going through the past few months. He reveals that MyDol Entertainment, Son Jinhwa's newest venture into the Kpop landscape, has been trying to buy DeepDive's contract for months now, resulting in lengthy legal battles and finally giving fans a reason as to why the group has been so quiet.

Despite the stir the passionate stories caused, Noah has refused to delete them and stands firm in his statements.

Flowerbank has yet to make a statement in response to Noah's claims and outburst.

this era involved a lot of LORE, something ISE had not ventured into to this degree before. the album was accompanied by a 20-page GRAPHIC NOVEL exploring the storyline of this album. aside from the regular album release, PLAYER SELECT gave fans the option to buy a RANDOM MEMBER ALBUM, a move that caused a lot of online trading and reselling of the albums. this album version included a LIMITED ALBUM COVER of one of the members, as well as one small folded poster of the same member. many fans ADORED the new concept, praising ISEs new creative direction. this appreciation was also shown in ALBUM SALES, with many fans admitting online that they purchased several copies of the album. fans agreed that this album was JACKSON and ACEs time to shine, with both members showing off incredible vocal skills and beautiful visuals during the promotional period and in the music videos. during this era the ASIA TOUR was announced, starting in the gocheok sky dome in seoul on march 12th, with tour dates scheduled across asia until mid-august 2024. soon after the release of the album leader JACKSON and member MILES found themselves in several scandals, with JACKSONs past debut with boy group NIGHTVISION being brought up, and MILES being exposed for alleged abusive behavior towards other idols. these scandals began overshadowing the release during the second week of promotion, causing the PROMOTIONAL PERIOD to be cut short by several weeks. shortly after the end of the promotional period, MILES was officially removed from the group. some netizens praised ISE for taking swift action, while others claimed that ISE should have protected him like they protected HONEY from LIMIT/LESS during her bullying scandal.

with the combined song-writing powers of members NEO and KEY, previously known for writing for several ISE acts, it is perhaps no surprise that this MINI-ALBUM is filled top to bottom with energetic lyrics and an experimental sound.

this sound was not for everyone, however, with the album receiving mostly MIXED REVIEWS online. some reviewers expressed disinterest in the groups predominant HIP-HOP sounds, while others appreciated VORTEXs unique approach of being an all-rap line. during their debut several members of VORTEX were linked to other ISE idols, most notable among them the apparent friendship between NEO and SPEXTRs leader ASTRA. the album was accompanied by three MUSIC VIDEOS for title track SIREN, as well as AWAKE and TAKE ME BACK. these videos were meant to introduce the LORE of the group. the videos feature DARKER and more serious imagery, showing themes of violence, police brutality, and war. this is out of the ordinary for ISE as a company, but many netizens appreciated the step into a new direction. during interviews, NEO explained that the group worked closely alongside ISEs new creative director JENNY LEE in perfecting their vision and direction for this album. fans criticized the unfair line distribution of this album, with both K.D and DEX receiving barely any lines. in the main track, SIREN, DEX only sings a total of three lines. K.D said during an ENCORE LIVE that he actually didn't mind that he was only given a few lines, because he's still very shy on stage.

Like a Girl is the seventh mini album of the fictional South Korean girl group, GIRL TALK, released on November 16, 2023, through Delphi Entertainment and XG Labels. It’s available digitally and physically and has seven tracks with “Get It” being its title track. There are three versions of the album; “Get”, “Kill”, and “Hit”. GIRL TALK promoted “Get It” and “Nobody Knows” for six weeks.

“Get It” received nine music show wins. The music video received 70.4 million streams and 5.3 million likes in 24 hours. They posted daily content videos of “Sleep-Over with GIRL TALK” on their YouTube channel, held several online and in-person fansigns, as well as appearing on multiple variety shows. They also released the “Kill It” and “Hit It” dance practice versions. As usual, their girl crush and mature concepts always go viral, and this time, it was no exception.

Two weeks after Like a Girl was released, Delphi Entertainment announced GIRL TALK’s documentary film; The Girls Talk. Produced by Jordan Hwang, The Girls Talk is a documentary film that emphasizes each members’ individuality and struggles. According to Hwang, the girls “get real”. The Girls Talk was released on November 30, 2023, in select theaters worldwide. Due to popular demand it re-entered theaters in select countries on December 20 and 21 2023. The film is to be released on YouTube Premium on February 24, 2023.

The comeback was announced on October 20th, giving fans and the public a few weeks to prepare. After it was announced, Yuuri went live with the title “AND THE GIRLS ARE BACK!” where she would spoil Nobody Knows, giving fans the first taste of their newest album. Soojin came in a moment after and took her phone away like she was a child, ending the live with a swift but sweet goodbye.

Now that fans knew that the album would involve a mature concept, boy, were they excited. Of course, they love all concepts by the girls but there’s always something about their mature concepts. Of course, non fans were excited, too.

Minji helped write Get It with Cho Yoonkyung, Holly helped Yoonkyung with Nobody Knows. Minji completely wrote ICU and all the girls wrote 21:29.

The music video would get 70.4 million streams and 5.3 million likes within 24 hours. Therefore beating their previous record of 79.8 million with Devil.

Get It debuted high on the charts, #1 on Bugs, #5 on MelOn, #7 on Genie, and #50 on Flo. It was #19 on Billboard 200. Nobody Knows also debuted #4 on Bugs, #6 on MelOn, and #90 on Flo. The girls tweeted a ten second video of them just screaming. No talking, no pausing, just screaming and then it ends. They followed up with another video, thanking the fans and everyone who listened to them.

Minji said ICU was to a close friend of hers, letting them know she’s always there for them, even oceans apart. She didn’t say which friend, but from the girls’ reactions, it’s safe to assume it’s about someone else.

The girls wrote 21:29 for the fans, one of the many. It was a tearjerker, Holly tears up when they first performed it live at an in person fansign.

Get It and Nobody Knows were promoted for six weeks from November 17th to December 17. Their first out of nine win for Get It was two days later on Inkigayo. They had two additional wins for Nobody Knows— which one of them they won against Get It.

As usual, the girls were active on social media. They especially posted a lot on TikTok, posting videos nearly every day and when they skipped one, Blossoms jokingly wondered if the girls were kidnapped or dead. They replied to fans on social media and had one or two lives each week.

They went on variety shows such as Knowing Bros and Minji and Mei guest starred in Running Man. Yuri joked on Knowing Bros that she wished We Got Married was still airing, she wanted to be on it. You can imagine netizens’ reactions. They also went on Jimmy Kimmel and performed.

Throughout the era, they released all three versions of Get It’s dance practices. They also released their MMA and GDA performance dance practices. On December 25, they released a special dance practice video where they wore similar outfits to the Mean Girls’ Santa dresses. Soojin and Mei got the cutest outfits and solo stans were pissed.

Most of the girls stayed their natural dark hair color, while Yuri was blonde and Minji dyed her hair blonde halfway through the era, saying that the blonde hair in her photocard was a wig.

Oh, this was Minji and Holly’s eras. They just shined really brightly in this one, going viral almost every other day for a fancam or something they did or said.

People gave Minji such backhanded compliments for her lyrics and voice while somehow degrading her to a ‘dumb blonde’. Holly went viral for her Nobody Knows fancam, people stating it was her choreo like she just does it like it was made for her.

As usual, Yuuri went viral for all the wrong things. People took her words a bit too seriously like her We Got Married comment, and her saying their comeback was the best comeback the entire year. Stupid things like that.

Antis didn’t have one thing to complain about Mei this era for, but you know— they still did.

It’s not a GIRL TALK comeback if there’s not at least one dating rumor. This era’s victim was Soojin, what a surprise.

All of the girls went viral for Nobody Knows, multiple fancams of theirs for the song had more than two million views. This brought more attention to them, both bad and good.

Some people thought it was somehow too raunchy …? As Holly said, “They don’t like people showing their ass, I guess.”

Twitter was in hell for Blossoms. Like it was a constant war every day. They had to defend the girls from so many other fandoms, who called them sluts or untalented, etc. You know the works.

They attended Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York and all stops of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour, meeting a few celebrities such as Sabrina Carpenter, Olivis Rodrigo, Doechii, Melanie Martinez, SZA, and more.

GIRL TALK went to AAA, MMA, SMA, GDA, and CCMA. They went home with at least one award every show.

They released their documentary film The Girls Talk on November 30 in select theaters. The girls shed light on past incidents, reminisce together, and even visit their families in the film as a way to go back to their roots after finding stardom. It will be released on YouTube Premium on February 24, 2024.

On midnight January 1st, the girls dropped a music video for 21:29, a thank you gift to them, concluding the Get It era.

debuting following a tumultuous SURVIVAL SHOW streak and an even more tumultuous period at ISE, all eyes were on this group and their debut, and it is safe to say they more-than delivered. the debut mini-album was met with universal PRAISE from netizens and official critics alike, who -- partially because of this debut -- predicted a bright future ahead for ISE and its groups. despite her departure from SPEXTR prior to their debut, ex-member MINSUN is still credited for her song-writing contributions on several songs on the album. this album had the most editions out of any album released by ISE, which assisted it in selling the MOST COPIES out of any album that season. the dance challenge for the title track THE STRANGE WORLD was also the most popular dance challenge by any ISE group to date, with many other idols and celebrities participating. during the promotional period it became clear that all of the members were very close, and in an interview ASTRA explained that the girls had been through a lot in a short time, which helped them in becoming close friends so quickly. Juwon originally entered the entertainment industry as an idol, training for five years to debut in a boy group called "Broken Line," in 2016 under Stormedia, which was met with little success. Tragically, Broken Line's career would be cut short in 2020 when the group's maknae, Kitae, would commit a murder-suicide, leading to the group's disbandment. Juwon would leave Stormedia the same year, becoming an actor under another broke company. During this time, he would begin to date superstar Jung Yoonah, who allegedly helped him get his foot in the door with Dark Garden Company. His acting career would be put on hold in 2022 for reasons unknown to his fans. He would then go on to be the first member of Bones and All to be announced.

officially called EVILBONG, RAEVIL's first lightstick was complimented for looking sleek yet fitting their concept to a t. the lightstick features a white dome, with the group's unofficial logo in the centre of a circle surrounded by vines. right underneath the orb, there is a brooch with a 3d serpent design, which fans connected with RAEVIL's second single, SERPENT, which was released a year before. the handle has the group's name engraved into it, and there's an option for NEMESIS to buy a special version where they could submit their name / alias to be engraved at the back of the handle.

after the lightstick dropped, there were so many photos and selfies of members holding it and waving it around with lights turned on. the lightstick's manual came as a mini booklet, with members featured inside, showing how to use the lightstick with different modes. they were made to look like they came out of a comic book, which fans loved to see because it was the first time the group did something so cute since their debut.

released on the group's seventh anniversary, REALBONG is significantly more popular than EVILBONG, which says a lot, considering the first lightstick received almost a million pre-orders not even two weeks after being announced. the second one doubled that during the same period, making it the most wanted lightstick from GLASSHOUSE artists. the new design is made to look like a dome cage instead of their simple look and the lights are coming from the crystal inside of the cage, made to look like a torch once turned on. instead of their signature serpent brooch, REALBONG has an intricate design that no one seems to guess correctly as to what it is. the buttons to use the lightstick are in the back instead of the front, are easy to use and fans are able to swing it around with no worries they'll accidentally press the lightstick off.

this time, instead of a booklet manual, the fans received a simple QR code printed on the box, which, upon being scanned, would bring them to GLASSHOUSE's official website, where they'd be able to watch private video instructions of RAEVIL members showing how to turn it on and the modes it has. the idea of getting such an interesting manual received considerable attention, that it prompted someone to leak it on social media for people who don't have their lightstick or are not even their fans.
