         ‘  great.  ’  he chuckles to himself, a wholly human sound for someone not quite so human. his hands press against the sides of his helmet, activating the communication device within. ‘  HQ, HQ. This is Zero, do. you. read?  ’  nothing. not even static -- just nothing. a curse under his breath, gaze finally cast toward the large tower. well, at least some things never change. ‘  nice to meet you, link. -- can’t say i’ve ever heard of the great plateau. looks nice. peaceful.  ’  another pause, another chuckle. ‘  of course, it probably isn’t.  ’

         zero kneels into the grass, blades flattening under his weight. his hands run along the soil, picking up a small pile of it, resting in his palm. after a few moments of studying the dirt, he drops it, wiping the remainder of it off his surface. ‘  you probably have your own problems to worry about, but maybe we can help each other out. tell y’what, if you accompany me to that tower -- i’ll lend my expertise to whatever you need. can’t be any worse than sigma.  ’  he extends his hand, a quiet gesture of solidarity.

hey violet, your stuff on net neutrality really helped me, thanks ; could you maybe make another hopeful post? i'm going to capture it & save it & look at it if ever I panic about the future. really, thank you. I've been crying about it & panicking & that's not exactly the healthiest so, if you want to take on that undertaking, I would appreciate it.

not a problem friend! I’m glad i could help! and i’ll certainly do that in a few minutes, but for now, please don’t panic! certainly be worried about it -- a good dosage of worry is always healthy no matter the circumstances -- but it’s been passed on one end and denied on the other twice now ... in the exact same circumstances!

this isn’t to say that you should stop fighting or anything of the sort, but it’s something to ease your mind and worry in the meantime!

I’m going to be 25 years old in 8 days now, and this seems like random information but! Please remember that net neutrality as a whole is a fairly recent concept, the term was coined in 2003, only 14 years ago, which means that the internet before that was a lawless land ... but a land nonetheless. NN wasn’t always a thing in the United States, and like I mentioned previously, that doesn’t mean you should stop worrying, but it helps to remember that. Trust me. I’m definitely worried, too, and I’ll do my part! But the internet existed before NN and thrived and it will continue to thrive. If you take anything away from this, it should be that the Net is a piece of shit who will go down swinging. As we speak, the Attorney Generals of New York and Washington are planning to sue the FCC for its decision -- even before the bill / vote goes to court. So with enough good will and a touch of faith in humanity (trust me, I know it’s hard!), we still have a chance to win this! Please please please, don’t give up!

The fight’s just getting started. And Anonymous might be a coalition of neckbeards and racists, but their motto is something to chant to yourself at night. We do not forgive. We do not forget.
