due to The Content [and stuff], i'm chickening out of the reboot being 'don't follow first' --- so, basically, if you can actually see yourself writing with laura, you're welcome to her. if you can't, that's fine! it happens! my need to cut down is more a personal problem than anything else: for a long time, this has been my main dash, so i've tended to follow all of my mutuals' blogs indiscriminately. it's just gotten overwhelming! i feel like i'm not sure who/which characters i should approach for plotting, etc., and since (as we all know) this blog is my baby, and i don't like winging things, it's pretty disheartening. and my own fault, i imagine, for continually failing at making an interest tracker, but i digress.

knowing laura is truly like, if you told me she jumped off a cliff because somebody dared her to, i would believe you, but she would never just leave her mom (or johnny, for that matter)

but leland would have just said she was talking about leaving ❤️ and they would have believed him ❤️

carrie timeline is obviously kinder to laura, and i love it for that, but it’s so much crueler to everyone left behind — like, you know (if you’re familiar with this kind of thing at all) she would have been considered a runaway. they might not have even really looked for her at all. and anyone close to laura would have known she never, EVER would have just left. even if they couldn’t prove or even explain why. she wouldn’t just leave. everything would point to a girl who was in crisis and Wanting Out and she would still end up being failed. but she wouldn’t just leave.

hi friends. continuing off this previous post i made, unfortunately my situation has gotten worse. my grandma was just released from the hospital and is recovering from a severe infection after a surgery, so my mom is going over to take care of her for the next month. my grandma lives in a different country, so my mom will be flying over there and is unable to work in the meantime, so it's put a drain on our income. i'm still trying to find work to support our household while that's going on and will be continuing to take graphic commissions.

thinking about that mash + laura post again ('is it true that god answers all prayers? yes. sometimes the answer is no'). thinking about laura's angel again and how she was never actually abandoned like she thought. and how it kind of just doesn't matter. not in a cynical way! it's just, like. 🤕

Last night I had the strangest dream. I was in a red room with a small man dressed in red, and an old man sitting in a chair. I tried to talk to him. I wanted to tell him who BOB is, because I thought he could help me. My words came out slow and odd. It’s frustrating trying to talk. I got up and walked to the old man, then I leaned over and whispered the secret in his ear … even if it was only a dream, I hope he heard me. No one in the real world would believe me.
