It’s not like Madoka is really accustomed to receiving gifts of any kind. They'd been  pretty scarce in her childhood, when her family was hiding out from a few... particular dangers their home had encountered, and... when it was just herself, her aunt, and Shuu, the best she’d get were tech scraps for her to dish together and make something of.  ...Not to say she didn’t just get whatever she needed to ‘survive’ or ‘be comfortable’ or whatever. Her remaining family was never poor, just... never there on the big occasions.  It was kinda the same for her as a child, though- but more in terms of a lack of friends to pass gifts to her. It had always just been enough to have one of them around at some point close to a special day.  ...Yuutaro, her little brother, used to try to give her his toys, or give her drawings that he did. Her father never really understood what was appropriate for her back then, either. The pocket knives he tried to offer her just got confiscated by her mother- though he did pass down her signature hairclip as a gift- and there had been that fictional series she ended up hyperfixating on for years. Her mother’s gifts had been more sensible. Practical. A Jumper, socks, shoes. Though, once, Madoka had gotten a computer that the woman’d put together,. It was a pretty amazing gift, given the rarity of the item around their neck of the woods. ...Even now, with more acquaintances, and more dynamics, it feels weird to be given anything traditionally like this. She almost hesitates in taking it, because the concept is so... foreign to her.  Ugh, LAME. Enough emotional DWELLING, right? Lifting the tooth up to the light, she’s tilting her head, observing it in silence for a moment, before jolting her head back to stare at Kisame. Her brows furrow, first in confusion, and then... it actually hits her; what this is. What it’s for. A... gift.
