God damn, he gives his brother one pitiful backhand across the face and just walks away like he's trash.

Although he felt Hank had more than earned it, Maximus refrained from teaching him about how little a person's willingness mattered when the inhuman prince wanted a task done. Instead, he raised a brow and prodded for information. "Are you certain you were not distracted? Are you working on something?" he asked, peering around him. "Is it important?"
"My thesis only applies to myself. Did you listen at all, or does the fur affect your hearing?" He was hardly insulting those who possessed great strength, only those who insulted him for not possessing great strength. Now, he was offended. Not by the claim of him having an air of superiority. He was superior after all. He was offended that the other hadn't listened to him rant about his woes.

"They are always amused by how "weak" I am, until they catch themselves doing the heavy lifting for me. I have no need for large muscles. I have machines and meatheads for that."

"Do tell," he teases, already perfectly aware of what Nathaniel is talking about. Maximus just happens to be among the rare few who like to hear him talk.
"A comedy about primitive ignorance," he describes uncharitably, only peripherally aware of the leering.

"...I suppose it isn't." Touché. Well, he isn't going to do anything for his entertainment, like bending over for him! This isn't a show! Oh, is that an early study of human biology? A comedy for the inhuman! He'll just reach down a couple of shelves to retrieve it.

Sinister's just gonna admire the view of Max wandering around naked in the library.

"Darling, may I ask why you're naked in the library?"
Sinister is very amused.
"I was wearing a towel, but--" He looks around the library, but just shrugs when he can see no towel.

I find all of your suffering hilarious."

"I won't hold it against you if you do. I know I plan to."
"Sinister, Nathaniel, I have tried many other strategies already. Successfully. They expect those plans now, though."

"Of course, but the vultures are constantly circling me." His family was keeping a close eye on him. Not for good reason at all of course.

"My intelligence cannot compete with the level of distrust they have in me," he sighed. "How would you trust me again? Honeyed words and promises? I doubt that would work on my family again."
