I know clearing Arah's nothing new for a lot of GW2 vets, but it's a first for me and (most) of my friends and fellow guildies from my BCT course. I haven't had so much fun playing GW2 since launch and it's all thanks to these guys; Breaktime [BCT], here's to the greatest little guild there is, you've rekindled my love for this game. You guys are the reason why I look forward to logging in these days!

Saw this on the gemstore and I have to say, I absolutely adore this outfit!

I know this was released to coincide with the recent release of GW2 in China, but as a Chinese myself, I am more than thrilled to be able to dress Rexar (and Lei of course) in such lovely Asian-inspired outfits!!

Hoping to see more goodies like this in the near future!

Haven't been playing much GW2 since I've started studying again... but I've managed to sneak in a few minutes to turn Rexar into one handsome killing machine.

Just a quick psa to those who had asked; unfortunately there's no race change feature whatsoever in GW2, my norn!Rexar post was just a bad joke in regards to gw2's newly implemented wardrobe system.

He's just a lowbie I've created for roleplay purposes with all of charr!Rexar's skins (volcanus, the predator, titan's vengeance, etcetc) thrown on.

Now from what I've heard Windows 8.1 is infamous for having compatibility issues with SweetFX's built-in injector, and as far as I know the current workaround for Win8+ users is to use the eFX combo, so how about giving this a whirl?

First off, thank you very much for the kind words, you guys! But really, I'm a cheater and shop all of my screens fairly extensively to make it look dandy.

I've briefly covered a very similar question right here; so to sum it up, yes I do indeed use SweetFX and I highly recommend it for any GW2 players out there (considering it can really improve the game's graphics without adding much more to GW2's already CPU intensive nature). 

I've also included a little comparison picture above that I've lazily slapped on together to basically illustrate just how much of a difference SweetFX can bring to your overall gaming experience.

You can grab SweetFX here, download/upload any presets here and if you wish to fiddle with your SweetFX settings you can grab the configurator here.

Regarding any tools of the trade, I use FRAPS to screenshot and record all of my gameplay (although I'm slowly veering towards OBS) and Photoshop CS6 to edit the goodies. If it isn't entirely evident in my edits already, I'm a huge fan of the blur tool, and gradient overlays, just throw those on and there it is.

I was afraid I would feel a little rusty even though I've only just recently graduated, but everything's been great so far, I'm learning heaps in my new course and it's a breath of fresh air to actually look forward to turning up to class everyday!

Hope studies and life in general are going well on your end too! I know you're a diligent person and I do hope all of your hardwork is coming to fruition! (^u ^ )
