every Superman actor should be able to nail the “oh I’m just a goofy, relaxed guy” body language and the sudden on-a-dime shift from “Clark Kent” to “Superman by happenstance in business clothes.”
not a physical transformation per se, not him switching into the Superman suit — just a tilt of the head, a squaring of the shoulders, and a new sharpness to the eyes that wasn’t there before.

Also. I hate that the term “male gaze” is so divorced from its original context. It’s a film term. For film. And not something that you’re supposed to apply to real life people doing real life people stuff.

The fact that animals that care for their young will sometimes adopt others' lost or orphaned young to raise along their own is just funny to me. I know that it's all hormonal and there's no conscious thought involved in it, but the internal logic of it is so funny.
"Baby = success. More baby = more success. I have one baby and I found four other baby. I have five baby. I am being so fucking successful right now."

I'm keeping an eye out for heat stroke in my area and I can't figure out what a full body flush would look like on dark skin since all the pictures are just fake training pictures. Anyone have video/pics of a heat stroke flush on black skin?

the narrative that transmasculine youths being treated as misguided mentally ill daughters in need of patriarchal protection is a harmless or beneficial thing is a simply ridiculous narrative.
women have historically been treated as misguided and mentally ill daughters, wives, and mothers, leading to violent (sexual, medical, physical) correction, removal of autonomy, and oppression. misogyny and ableism go hand in hand, and when you add transphobia to the mix, the harm does not disappear, but instead only increases as an even more vulnerable population is targeted.
if you read sections of irreversible damage, you will very easily find instances of parents denying their trans children access to transition - social, medical, etc - or even moving across the country just to isolate their child from queer community. all in the name of a deadly "protection". believing that it is benign is believing their narrative.

Saying trans men don’t have male privilege is not saying they aren’t free from misogynistic views.
It’s not a purely male thing to be misogynistic guys.
It’s not a male privilege to be misogynistic.
You can be a woman and be misogynistic.
Misogyny is not limited to men, it’s not a male only thing.
Trans men don’t have male privilege ≠ trans men can’t be misogynistic!
These are two different statements.
My post saying you can’t hold trans men and cis men in the same category IS NOT ABOUT FUCKING MISOGYNY.
It’s about the fact that the one of the only ways a trans man could potentially ever have some semblance of the same male privilege a cis man has in this society is if they are white, post op and have been on T for years, have an M gender marker and do not reveal they are transgender to anyone but their partner(s).
Pre-T trans men, trans men who like to be open about their identity, pre-op trans men, trans men who like being feminine sometimes. None of them have the male privilege we’re talking about here but they’re still all men.
There is a fundamental difference between cis and trans men/mascs in this society. You CANNOT hold them in the same category.
Nobody, not even a trans man, is free from being a misogynist.
But trying to claim that saying trans men/mascs don’t have male privilege is saying they can’t be misogynistic is wild.
Misogynistic views ≠ male privilege
Because it’s not male privilege to get away with/not get away with saying misogynistic statements.
Cis men can be misogynistic
Cis women can be misogynistic
Trans men can be misogynistic
Trans women can be misogynistic
GNC people can be misogynistic
It is not a male privilege to spout misogyny.

“Dick Grayson is Bruce’s greatest accomplishment” “Nightwing is everything Batman can’t be” “Dick is the best of us”
And. AND. There’s so much of Bruce in Dick, so much of what he could have been without the trauma and self-imposed isolation, that when the JL talks about Nightwing being so good in contrast to Batman, they don’t always realize how much of that goodness is Bruce’s.
Dick stands on his own as a team leader and a kind man, but to say he built himself from the ground up would be a lie. Bruce filled in the cracks around an angry, traumatized child. He gave Dick what he didn’t have. His goodness lives on in Dick because it can’t always live on in him.
