it wasn’t like he hadn’t said the things he did before, wasn’t like they were even SUPPOSED to matter in the first place. but even in his current state he knew that his thoughts were nothing but lies, lies towards her & towards himself. but it didn’t start his actions at this moment, a groan escaping his lips as his words go unnoticed by the girl they were directed towards. he didn’t even want to be here, first off. when he was told there wasn’t a way he could get out of it, colton found the nearest escape towards it. & despite his high dislike for even the taste of the drinks he was downing even an hour before showing up at the event, which he was all the more THANKFUL for that now. it was enough watching his arm around her, & now here she was — acting like she didn’t even know he existed. but he wasn’t going to admit how bad it irritated him, couldn’t admit it. they didn’t do that. they didn’t CARE for each other, that was one thing they had going for them. that there just wasn’t a them — never would be. but he’s stuck behind her with his gaze fixated in her direction, other’s words falling on deaf ears as he just wishes she would awknowledge him.

freshly manicured nails begin to dig into the SUCCULENT flesh of her open palm, fist clenched so stringently that she begins to await the crimson of her own blood tainting her dainty little wrist. she doesn’t know why he’d thought it proper to show up that night, can’t formulate a single sense of reason that’d make him think she wanted to see him, and yet he still HOVERS behind her like he’s waiting to pick away at the skin sheathing her bones. to crawl beneath it until she’s his again. no, she was never his. she never would be. the brunette swallows a sordid scowl when blaine excuses himself with a press of his lips to her temple, air around her beginning to THICKEN because the last thing she wants is to be alone with the blonde. a bitter taste begins to pool at the back of her throat like bile, and she’d had every intention of leaving him where he stood if it weren’t for the passing stranger with flimsy elbows, nudging her by an accident on his part & a purposeful VENGEANCE by the universe. she’ll struggle to keep hold of her balance then, lithe frame leaning backward until she steadies herself against his familiar body and it’s so casually cruel that she can’t help the way she groans. ❛ DON’T touch me. ❜ she’ll bite without so much as looking at him.
