You know when you don’t like how a story ends, or you’re just not willing to accept a specific part of the plot? Well, there’s this fun thing that I do that I’m sure others do as well, called:

✨Rejecting the Canon✨

With ✨Rejecting the Canon✨ you no longer have to accept the canon storyline or its ending. You may simply erase it from your memory and pretend it doesn’t exist. You’re free to live in your silly little delusions of how you would have liked it all to work out. :)

Allow me to demonstrate.

Well, remember how at the very end of the game, you fight him on the beach and he dies?

Well.

No you don’t.

Because guess what? It never happened.

Nope.

Instead, he escaped from the Beach again (if he can do it once he can do it again), and now has a new place to live. My head. He’s alive in my mind. Doesn’t even have to pay rent.

✨Rejecting the Canon✨

is a delusion mindset I can prescribe to remedy the following:

- The death of a beloved fictional character (they never died. They’ll find a way back just trust me.)

- The survival/revival/return of that one character you absolutely hate (don’t worry some time after the main plotline they are actually like not there anymore)

- Your fictional crush gets a love interest (you see that person doesn’t actually exist and you’re actually their husband/wife)

- Just disliking a plot or story ending (you know what? No. It didn’t happen. Let’s just make up a new ending we like better because what’s anyone gonna do about it? They never existed to begin with 😌)
