@inkreality​ gets a starter she didn’t ask for

                 “How do you feel about Mandarin?”  She’s flipping through the binder of take out menus at the counter - yes, it’s a binder, with sheet protectors, and little tabs that broke it up by type - and yes, quite a few of the menus had notations on overall quality, speed, flavor … what to order again and what not to.  She liked being organized and since take out came in lieu of ever actually using the chef grade kitchen in her suite, it required some finesse.   “Or we could do that little Italian place on 8th street, that one with the parmesan crumble and olive oil drizzled garlic knots?” 

          “ wait, wait, wait, “ river yanks down her pearl jam tee back over her head.  eyebrows pinch together, fixating just a little too hard that a conversation on takeout evolved into an entire binder being produced from wherever marion pulled it from.  “ i’m organized but, by the gods, em. “  she climbs up on the couch to kneel on the armrest, using the added height to lean against the other’s shoulder.  she’s not even paying attention to the restaurants because she’s so fixated on the various notes.

          “ i haven’t been to that place in ages, “ river taps on her chin for a second before sliding down off the couch to find her shorts.  “ their pesto?  gives me goosebumps.  let’s do that.  can we do that?  and then we’re playing fifty questions on that novel right there. “
