McCarthy, John Edward, July 1, 2020 age 60 of Canton. Beloved husband Joni for 24 years. Loving father of Joseph, Andrew & James. Dear brother of Daniel (Sandy) and David McCarthy. Nephew of William Scanlan. John was a practicing attorney for 30 years. He was involved in coaching youth sports and a member of Harvest Bible Church. Visitation Thursday, July 9th 2-9 PM at Harvest Bible Church, 6420 North Newburgh Road, Westland, MI 48185. Funeral Service Friday, July 10th 11 AM at the church. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Park.

Harvey D. “Harve” Miller, age 80, June 30, 2020, of Garden City.
Beloved husband of Janet. Loving father of Randall (Robin) Miller, Marla Miller and the late Elizabeth Benchich. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Harve was a Master Mason. He was a great mechanic, who loved working with his hands, and could fix anything. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially watching cartoons with them.

Gingell, Gregory, D.C., died June 24, 2020 after a sudden heart attack. Age 65 of Northville. Beloved husband of Ruthanne. Loving father of Jason Gingell, Casey (James) Conway, Nicholas Gingell and Cole Gingell. Dear son of Barbara & the late Walt Gingell.
Dear brother of Deborah (Desmond Kirkland) Knight, Barbara (Steve) Groh, Paul (Janet) Gingell, Mary Lu Guibord, Beth (Joseph) Ewald and John Gingell. Dr. Gingell served the Plymouth Community for over 35 years at the Gingell Chiropractic Center.
In state Monday, June 29th 10 AM until the 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 W. 10 Mile Road, Novi.

Michael DeKoven Bowen
Michael DeKoven Bowen was born in East Point, Georgia on May 7, 1949 and passed away on June 20, 2020. He was the son of Margaret Louise Humphrey and Paul Bowen.
He retired as the Director of the Wayne State University Student Center in 2011. Michael lived his life to the fullest and was a strong an honorable man who was loyal and trustworthy. His passions included volunteerism, painting (MFA 1986), dancing, singing, anything Motown, traveling and tennis. Always smiling, you couldn’t help but love him from the first moment you met him. His light shined on the countless number of students whom he quietly mentored during his tenures at WSU and at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Professionally, Michael was honored with numerous awards which included the WSU Homer D. Strong Award for distinguished leadership and service and the Gretchen Laatsch Outstanding Service Award from the Association of College Unions International and a WSU Presidential Bonus Award for painting large scale murals in two buildings at WSU. He was never at a loss for energy when it came time to volunteer for the American Red Cross or at countless WSU events like Commencement, Scholars Day, Motor City Makeover, Homecoming, Grad Expo and Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Day. In addition to serving as a WSU Alumni Association Board Member, he was also a weekend art instructor at Sacred Art Church.
Married on November 12, 2012, he is survived by his true love, Christina (Basso) Bowen and siblings Jerene Calhoun, Cora Threet, Sharon Porter, Linda Blakely, Paul Dexter Bowen and Victor Bowen. Michael’s Family of Love is blessed with James, Terrie, Saundra, Jackie, Mamma Basso, nieces, nephews, cousins, Dora and Daniel from Blessed Assisted Living and friends who take comfort in knowing that Michael is in the glory of heaven with those who have predeceased him.

Finney, Dennis Ray, age 64 died peacefully June 16, 2020. After heart complications, Dennis was a lifelong Garden City resident. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ray & Lois Finney, brother & sister-in-law; Michael (Sheila K.). Loving father of Michael (Amanda), Jeffrey R., and Robert (Danielle). Dear grandfather of David & Andrew. Loving uncle of Shannon (Phil), and Linda beloved companion & mother to his sons, and great uncle to Max and Jackson. Dennis retired from General Motors at the age of 50. He was an avid car & motorcycle enthusiast. He loved working and riding whenever he could. He also loved fishing and boating on the lake.

John Franklin Burnison
January 8, 1940 - June 12, 2020
John Franklin Burnison, long time resident of Manchester, Age 80. Dear father of Dorothy and John. Beloved grandfather of Taylor Joy Burnison. Brother of Donald, Steve and Tom, all residents of Shiawassee County.
John was a very active man. He proudly served 12 years with the Army National Guard. His duties included serving as a supply sergeant and was also called to Detroit during the riots. Eventually, John became a member of the American Legion.
John was also a very talented football player at West Virginia University. He was so athletic that he not only played quarterback but other positions as well. John also enjoyed the outdoors; he loved going to Lake Superior with his family, fishing, camping and hiking.
John loved his Manchester property. He meticulously maintained the grounds, growing flowers, he considered it his "Up North" oasis. He was loved and respected among the Manchester community and will be dearly missed.

William Vincent Miller (Billy), age 62, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan passed away on Saturday May 23, 2020.
Dearest Uncle of Amanda (Kevin) Williams. Dearest Great Uncle to Owen and Kaden Williams. Preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Edris Miller and his brother Vincent P Miller. Billy leaves behind many people who loved him and who will truly miss him.
Billy absolutely loved the Three Stooges and especially Curly. His impersonation of Curly was spot on. He also was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers.
