additionally, this blog supports: narcissists, sociopaths, borderlines, histrionics, psychotics, bipolar folks, schizospec folks, systems, those who struggle with eating disorders or self harm, trans folks, queer folks, neurodivergent folks and disabled people. and we will not tolerate discrimination of any kind towards any of these people
psa: this blog is pro recovery and supports harm reduction! there is nothing wrong with being sick, but promoting illness and encouraging others to get worse or put themselves in harm's way is something we do not support on this blog. remember: your illness is never an excuse to harm others
#「 📋 ─ notes 」#I might have missed something but you get the point#no hate or weird discrimination here#nazis fuck off racists fuck off etc etc

brief note about this picture, because I'm (obviously) a big nerd for vintage medical stuff and history in general.
the building where this picture was taken was built in 1921 as nurse housing for the local hospital, and sometime later was converted into office space for outpatient care, which is what it still serves as to this day. from the brand and style of intercom, we can surmise that it was probably installed around the 1960s or 1970s, and probably has not been used much since then, as intercom usage was largely phased out shortly after that. little information is available about the detailed history of the building, but my best guess is that the intercom system throughout the building remains there partially to preserve the historic nature of the building, and partially just because taking all of them out would be a lot of work.

#「 📋 ─ notes 」#I have weird history/architecture autism so#this is like a lot of fun for me#the original picture has some chipped paint around the metal plate#I edited that out to fit the Ward blog a little better of course#anyway. that's my speech about the hospital intercom
