Knoll #5: contrast

-I chose items that represent how people feel and what people do when valentines day comes around

-I chose shoes to show people running from problems, phones to represent distance, chocolate because that always helps (;)), makeup brushes for getting dolled up, Kleenex for crying and cards for expensive dates.

-lastly I chose liquor to be in the middle being surrounded by everything and representing loneliness

Knolling week 4: Valentines day

Valentines day is full of romance and indulging in things you love and spending time with those you love. 

-I chose to go from the left to right as romantic things towards things that mean something to me:

left:

-Fancy shoes, bottle of wine and cutlery show fancy dinner and the TV remote is how I plan to spend my valentines day after dinner. The plant is to signify flowers as gifts as well as chocolates.

Middle:

-I chose things I love to do like listen to music and paint

Right:

-Pictures and suntan lotion to signify the many trips I went on during valentines day as a child, the shoes and shark were gifted to me on Christmas from the one I love, the hoodie is my boyfriends, the family sign for my family who I love and the mitt to show how cold it always is on valentines day in Calgary.

-for this knoll I wanted to choose everything that had sentimental value to me:

-Music, my camera, Mount Royal, cruise ship cards from my childhood, Canada, travelling, running, my car, chocolate (of course), reading, items given to me from kids I work with and a stuffed animal from my boyfriend and I’s first date.
