another dream yesterday morning: J and i were at a company picnic (lol?) and there was some alcohol left over at the end and J took a bottle of whiskey and put it in their backpack, i was taken aback, asked “do you want that, i thought you were being sober?” and then we got into a fight…i woke up anxious as hell yesterday wondering if they’d been drinking the night before, i’m sorta always wondering if they’ve been drinking and can usually tell by how they text me, i sorta put it out of my mind and the day got better but i went over to their place last night and saw the pedialyte bottle (the stupid pedialyte bottle!) and knew, i mean they told me too as soon as we started talking and i felt stupid as fuck for not sticking around until the liquor store closed or showing up to eric’s party ugh like i could’ve stopped it but i know i can only help as much as they let me and also its not my responsibility and them getting sober is probably the most difficult thing they’ll ever do

exhausted and scared that their drinking is going to ruin this relationship, which i know scares them too. trying not to feel like my trust is broken but my trust in them is i guess. which i know is sorta par for the course with alcoholics, you can’t trust them. i know thats a sort of depressing note to end on abt a relationship that i feel generally very positive about but w/e. mondays are when i go to group and cry so thats what i’ll be doing later

J and i went and mucked around in a creek yesterday and then basked in the sun/swam/fucked on the riverbank/etc….the amount of time we spent just watching minnows and water bugs and ants ferrying grains of sand in and out their anthill….anyways find someone who moves through the world with attention and wonder and you’ll never not be amazed
