General zim x reader headcanons?

Invader Zim x Gender Neutral Reader Headcanons

Irkens don't really share affection for each other. This doesn't necessarily mean that they can't, but most of the time, they're more focused on invading the galaxy.

Zim, for example, is dead set on taking over Earth for his Irken superiors; so distractions such as yourself are less than tolerated.

Why do you look like that? Why do you talk like that? What's your deal? Have you found out he's an alien? Is that why he gets this weird feeling when you're around?

Zim may at first think you're a threat given these unfamiliar feelings, especially if you act differently towards him compared to everyone else.

If you're nice to Zim, he may try and make you into a human slave. Of course you like Zim! Isn't he wonderful!?

However, as he spends more time with you (to turn you into a proper human slave of course!), he finds that you're more tolerable than he originally thought.

He even begins to... enjoy being around you! What have you done to Zim?!

Honestly, he's more likely to freak out at you than to actually come to terms with his feelings. In this case, Zim likely confronts you in his base after a day of 'hanging out', as the other worm babies call it.

You're more likely to be confused than anything, with the way Zim is describing his feelings. You may think he's going to be sick!

Although, with the way he's suddenly gone quiet as you silently observe him, getting closer and closer, you realize he may be describing a different kind of feeling.

Once you come to this conclusion, it's not easy for Zim to accept these feelings. THE Zim with some random, barely sentient bag of meat and juice?! No way! Not in a million eons!

Despite his grievances, he'll find a way to feel normal about his feelings; or at least as normal as an undercover alien can get.

He'll research what the usual human rituals are for courtship and take them way out of proportion. So, you'll probably have to give him advice on things like that yourself. After that, Zim feels quite proud of himself. Who knew Zim was such an amazing partner? Well, he knew, but now you do too!

Zim's ego grows every time he gets you something, whether it be some weird machine or dead flowers. He wholeheartedly believes any gift towards you should be honored and preserved like some sort of trophy.

You can easily knock him down a peg or two by gifting him things in return, which unexpectedly makes Zim a bit agitated. How dare you buy these candies for Zim? He's the one courting you, not the other way around!

Regardless of your intentions, he's going to take it the wrong way. Do you think Zim can't provide for himself? Do you believe you're the one courting him? Does he need to make a show of dominance? Well, if that's the case, he doesn't mind screaming, biting, or lunging at you! Those are the common acts of dominance in the creatures of Earth, yes?

To sum it up, you better explain acts of affection before you gain some unneeded injuries.

Once that's resolved, Zim is pretty decent in terms of being a partner. Sure, he may call you weird names sometimes, gift you unwanted death devices, and scream at anyone he thinks might be trying to make advances on you, but he's pretty cute when he's doing it so you can forgive all that!

Plus, he promised not to turn you into a human slave once he takes over Earth. And what's more romantic than that?

Zim wasn't someone that enjoyed the human food...that much

principally since he couldn't drink water

He is practically confused when you are comming home or he finds some ingredients in your bag.

he never seems to care that much. He only asks what are you doing. And when you just answer 'Nothing' he just shrugs, but keeps and eye on you

(i even see him capable of sending Gir to spie you..but he always comes bacl with his 2.."eyes"(? full of flour)

When you finally offer him the cookies..He doesn't accepts

he says that "Human fod isn't of his interest!" or something in that style...

But he always sneeks and takes a bit of one of your cookies.

AND HE LOVES THEM

he eats them all until there's no trace of the cookies.

he then comes to you and says "My beloved Human! i've decided that i'll let you bake your strangely delicious cookies! With the condition that I will only eat them..no gir or the minimoose!" "ajehm..please.."

(if he sees you giving Gir some of your cookies or Gir stealing them..he will say that he will eat all Gir's snacks..but he inmediatly regrets and gives them back)
