GETTING TO KNOW YOU;

Olivia May Hudson was born on a chilly October morning to Christopher and Carol Hudson. The youngest of the Hudsons, Olivia barely remembers what her father was like before he died, choosing instead to romanticize the idea of her father, the hero. She had always been a rather imaginative child - a trait that helped pass the time in the fishing community of Port Washington. Stories of far-off sword fights would bloom out of a pile of sticks, empty baskets would become treasure chests stolen from pirates off the coast of an imaginary island. It was this particular imagination that often caused Olivia quite a deal of trouble, as she would find “new and inventive” ways to do her homework at school, rather than follow the method suggested by her teachers. Despite the conference calls and meetings at school, Olivia never quite saw the merit to following equations by the book, when she could solve things just as efficiently - if not more so - with her own tools and intellect. This trait bled over into Olivia’s social life, and often led her to be on the fringes of all the cliques and friend groups that had developed. It wasn’t that Olivia was unfriendly or cold; quite the opposite, as she had been raised to be kind and generous, just as her father would have wanted. No, it was simply that Olivia’s brain worked in such a way that her mouth just blurted out whatever it was that she was thinking, often times leading to tactless answers or rather bizarre changes in topic.

Given that her social ineptitude allowed her a great deal of time, Olivia threw herself into her studies, choosing to read up on how to code in C++ than attend her high school prom. She wasn’t interested in dresses or dating, given the poor quality of both in Port Washington. Instead, in between studies, she imagined that she would be swept away by someone charming who didn’t mind her flights of fancy and her awkward nature. Someone she would wait for. And wait she did, all throughout her time at Case Western as she studied civil engineering. Despite the disparaging gender imbalance in the engineering field, Olivia found that no one quite seemed to fit the bill, romantic or otherwise. She was either too chatty or too withdrawn, too naive or too serious. Olivia graduated college the same way that she had entered it: alone. And despite her vivid imagination and ability to turn nothing into something, Olivia found that she couldn’t romanticize the prospect of being sad and alone in a corporate office for the rest of her life. On a whim, she applied for a job at the DisneyWorld Imagineer office, despite not having the suggested 7-10 years of experience or master’s degree that the hiring manager was looking for. She hadn’t thought too much about it, even as she received several interview offers from the Imagineers. It was only when she found her acceptance letter in her inbox that Olivia realized that perhaps this was a sign - a fresh start. Passing up an offer to design neutron detectors at a start up in Boston, Olivia packed her bags and put her savings into a plane ticket to Florida. Since then, she hasn’t looked back.

If the Evans family desired to have two sets of twin children, well, some may say they were very fortunate indeed. First came Sam, then twin sister Sarah — then, later on, little Stevie and Stacie came along. Together, with Mary and Dwight as two very doting parents, they made a unit. One family. Mary and Dwight never thought they’d see bad times — and then they did. But they wouldn’t have gotten through it if they didn’t raise their children to stand by one another. 

Sarah loves her family, but Sam’s her best friend. They grew up attached at the hip. Some may say they aren’t all that different, but Sarah’s inclined to disagree. Sam’s a nerd. Total geek. Sarah? Not so much. They were both overtly concerned with popularity in high school — a younger, stroppier Sarah told her brother he ought to quit his comic books if he ever wanted to stand a chance at being cool. But she was a freshman — a stupid freshman — and sure, she looks back on the days of old with a tinge of embarrassment, but she figures everyone does. 

Growing up, Sarah discovered a love of ballet. It happened one day at her grandmother’s house when she was eight years old. There they were: beautiful, dazzling; twirling on the screen before her. Her jaw dropped; she was in awe from the get-go. Nowadays she wonders whether it was really the love of dance or the love of the stunning women and their choreography. Either way, it’s got her where she is today: Disney World. Taken on as a dancer after a set of auditions as a college student, Sarah was simply elated. And to think she was actually worried about finding a fruitful career. Who doesn’t wanna work at Disney?! She never even got the chance to go as a kid, never mind seeing the place in all its magic wonders every day. It truly is a dream come true. Does she miss her family? Oh yeah. Heaps. Big time. Skypes them every night she can. But she knows what she wants for herself; she wants to perform.

Maura DunBroch, daughter to a lawyer and a police officer, was always a bit of a wild child. Dirty clothes, wild hair, and an accent as thick and out of place as molasses in winter, she never did find company among too many other girls. It didn’t matter if she did or not, at least to Maura. To Maura, all that mattered was that she was having fun and staying true to herself. Her dad was always for it because he hoped she would go into law enforcement as he had, follow in his footsteps. Her mother, on the other hand, disproved of it. She wanted her daughter to do something less dangerous, like become a lawyer, or a doctor, anything but a cop. Her mother got her wish, sort of.

Maura has three younger brothers, triplets at that. They’re as wild and crazy as Maura, but never really got in trouble. Whether they were just better at sneaking or they weren’t being paid attention to, they were always getting away with things. Being older than the boys, by almost 6 years, it was no surprise that she was instructed to be a role model for them, and she was, but perhaps not in the best way.

In secondary school, Maura was the archery team captain, would go hunting with her father every winter, and was a passionate activist. A booming voice at rallies for equality, Maura was never one to back down from a fight, verbal or physical. While this ended in a lot of trouble for Maura, it was who she was and no one could really stop her. She often mouthed off to authority figures, when she knew she was right, and wouldn’t stand for unfair treatment. Her grades were decent and many thought she would go to college for law. She applied, was accepted, went, but never finished.

Instead, Maura became a part time model and at some point ended up across the pond, working for Disney. She was pulled in as Princess Merida, shortly after the face character was added to the parks. She originally started at Disneyland, but was transferred to Disney World in 2015. She’s been living it up in Florida ever since. 

Though she’ll never admit to it, Maura enjoyed being a model and will, on occasion, do a photo shoot or two in her spare time. She’s grown into her feminine side over the years and isn’t as ashamed to be seen in a dress, or a skirt, every now and again outside of work. However, she is still most comfortable in jeans and a tee shirt and is, more often than not, carrying a weapon of some sort.

★ BIOGRPAHY

From the moment Sebastian was born, he was an outgoing boy. More than anything else he just put a lot of effort into everything he did, though on the outside it generally seemed to come to him easily, and Sebastian wasn’t going to argue with that assumption. Whatever made him look good was ideal for him, and though he secretly hid away in his bedroom practicing whatever it was until he got it perfect, to everyone else, he was a natural. Maybe he tended to outshine his brother over it, but that was one thing Sebastian had always reacted much differently to. While his attitude could be off-putting, his brother was important to him, and at the end up the day, Sebastian wanted to support him just as much… he just had no idea how to properly do so.

Instead he focused on himself, dealing with his sexuality and spending plenty years of his life worried that his parents wouldn’t approve. Sebastian looked up to his father, and most of what he did was to gain his approval. Sebastian’s attitude stemmed more or less from the man, assuming that from seeing him at work, the best way to get what he wanted was to play dirty. The problem with that being eventually Sebastian didn’t want to do as his father and become a lawyer any longer, and instead wanted to focus on things he felt more passionate about, like performing.

The information had caused an obvious rift in their relationship - it had been worse than when Sebastian had been caught with a boy in his bedroom, but Sebastian tried to make him proud in other ways. Performing was what made him feel the most comfortable - specifically dancing, though his father didn’t approve of that fact. Eventually he found himself following his brother off to land himself in a job that Sebastian never would have imagined for himself. Particularly because of the amount of kids he saw on a day-to-day basis. Ugh.

Having grown up following his father, Sebastian had learned very early on that emotions were considered weak, and that had always stuck with him. It had ended in him feeling uncomfortable attempting to express himself in any deeper way than a sexual basis, and it made his relationship with his brother a little confusing. There was a distance, despite Sebastian wanting to close it… which was exactly what kept him sticking around, bonding with his brother being a strange but important priority while also meeting attractive people in the mean time.
