okay but siblinghood in asoiaf also extends to the previous generation of starks because look at how brandon abandoned everything to go rescue his little sister, threatening the crown prince in the process - the second most powerful man in westeros. It’s about ned desperately trying to find lyanna all over the continent only to find her locked away and dying. It’s lyanna screaming for Ned and the fear only leaving her when he promises that he’ll keep her newborn safe. It’s Ned raising her son as his own, knowing fully well what that would do to his new lady wife and their family. You may disagree but I think Duke has the absolute hardest job out of all of the Bat's because not only does he have a longer shift (15 hours vs 9 hours) but he has to do it by himself & is open to public scrutiny the same way Spider-Man is. The upsides is that he is the most beloved Bat by the people of Gotham (yes more beloved than Batman, Robin & Nightwing)

Because Catholicism and by extension Christianity are so big and normal I don't think a lot of people consider how strange the Vatican is just conceptually. Like yeah in the capital of a long-dead empire there's an opulent temple district that acts as it's own sovereign nation, still speaking the dead language of that empire for their rituals, ruled by a prophet-king chosen by a secret conclave of the high priesthood. if you wanna listen to naddpod you should know this about the hosts: brian murphy is a straightman to his inner most core and he's the funniest person alive, these things exist simultaneously and would not exist without the other. emily axford is clinically insane to a point where it's easier to not try to follow her logic when she says things. jake hurwitz is a certified cool guy but he's the biggest loser in a room of nerds playing dungeons and dragons. caldwell tanner can only be described as exactly what a 1930's cartoon describes as a rascal. three of them are a throuple and the fourth is their boss.

We need to dispell the myth that Duke is more sane than the other Bats because he runs the day shift & gets the most sleep but that's the farthest from the truth because there is a canon comic which shows he does not get enough sleep.

Cause going by when the sun usually rises (5 am) & sets (8 pm) he has a 15 hour shift, combined with about 2-3 hours of night class (8 pm-11pm), 1 other hour for mission reports or assisting his teammates (11 pm-12 am) means he gets 4 & a half hours of sleep (12 am-4:30 am) on a good & ideal day which are meaning in reality he's only getting around 3 hours or less on average.

ned telling cersei that he knew her kids were jaime's so she could have a chance to run away with the children because he knew robert would've killed them if he found out was obviously incredibly stupid on ned's part and the thing that got him killed in the end but it was also one of the nicest things anyone has ever tried to do for her

he hated cersei's guts and thought joff was a monster but still he would rather betray his oldest friend/boss/the literal king and by extent the entire realm than be responsible for the death of innocent children and I can't fault him for that

he was kind of an asshole to her in that scene though
