It took me significantly over an hour to deroot Jinafire last night, and for a change from Mattel’s normal MO, it’s because of how well she was rooted???

Like I just cannot get over it. I’ve derooted hundreds of Mattel dolls, mostly Monster High, and she is far and away the most evenly rooted one I have ever personally held in my own hands.

the downside to getting inspired by the things you already have is that sometimes you keep finding new ideas and new ideas and new ideas and then you start getting frustrated because you already had a big pile of ideas, but, since you do have everything you need to make them, you have to choose between 'just keep adding to the list' or 'do the new ideas now and let the list wait (knowing full well you may get more ideas before you get back to the list)'

(as opposed to the frustration of having an idea but not having what you need to make it, which is, as far as I can tell, much more normal)

State of the doll closet: Laverne Cox doll is rerooted. I’ve been really trying to use what I already have in reroots instead of buy more. This is a three color blend. Nothing was ever gonna be good enough for her- onward!
