This was one of my first posts I ever made on tumblr, when I first started practicing tarot. These were my original base interpretations of the cards, and it is interesting to see how they’ve changed for me as my practice has grown. The meanings have become more personal, sometimes more specific, and some have stayed similar. My changed interpretations of the major arcana are as follows: 0. The Fool: the beginning of a cycle. There is a sense of renewal, a clean slate. Sometimes it can mean an “ignorance is bliss” sort of thing.
1. The Magician: using the tools available to you in order to instill change. Reversal is to denounce or not recognize these tools.
2. The High Priestess: divinity. Your highest self. (This card is the card I usually use to represent myself or my craft.)
3. The Empress: creativity, femininity, abundance. Strong female power (The deck associates one of my close friends with this card.)
4. The Emperor: control, feelings of dominance, ruling with a steady hand. The counterpart of the Empress. In love readings I joke that this card means “a mans.”
5. The Hierophant: spiritual devotion and finding solace and guidance in this.
6. The Lovers: a good decision
7. The Chariot: pushing through a situation with will and eventually coming out on top.
8. Strength: calm control over a situation.
9. The Hermit: retreating from distractions in order to determine your own truth
10.The Wheel of Fortune: random change. Many options and paths. Sometimes a sense of too many choices or uncertainty.
11. Justice: revenge. Knowing someone has wronged you and creating a sense of justice for yourself.
12. The Hanged Man: giving yourself over to a situation. The knowledge that you have little power, but this card is very neutral. “Go with the flow.”
13. Death: something is ending, but change and growth comes from this end.
14. Temperance: the right thing at the right place at the right time. Sometimes it is necessary to wait for this thing.
15. The Devil: a bad decision
16. The Tower: a sudden unpredictable change. I have learned for myself from experience that this card is usually negatives.
17. The Star: a sense of guidance and hope. Perhaps something to lead you or something you follow.
18. The Moon: confusion and clouded vision. Not knowing where to go.
19. The Sun: happiness and clarity. Security.
20. Judgement: a call to action. It is the time to prove yourself or fail.
21. The World: the end of a cycle. Completion. Interesting to me, hmmm…
Hope this is helpful. Enjoy!

Canon Lines that Contradict Steve’s Endgame Ending:
Steve Rogers to everyone ever: “I can do this all day.”
Peggy Carter to Steve Rogers in The Winter Solider: “The world has changed, and none of us can go back. All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best that we can do is to start over.”
Steve Rogers to Sam Wilson and Natasha Romanoff in The Winter Solider: “Even when I had nothing I had Bucky.”
Steve Rogers to Bucky Barnes in The Winter Solider: “I’m with you till the end of the line.”
Steve Rogers to Tony Stark in Age of Ultron: “Family, stability… The guy who wanted all that went in the ice 75 years ago. I think someone else came out.” // “I’m home.”
Steve Rogers to Tony Stark in Civil War: “If I see a situation pointed south, I can’t ignore it.”
