In the shadows of the capital city of Arceal, anger and despair have been left to gather each day that the true king remains hidden.

"The king has been absent for months now and the country's ruin only worsens. Yes the cruel god was slain by the Curse he had created. But the Curse still afflicts King Teron and we believe it to be why he avoids the throne even now."

"We need to take drastic measures. The fading of our world worsens every day, only Teron and his son knew how to slow its wrath. But with the son dead and king absent, I fear we must force a horrible plan into action. What father could ignore the execution of his last remaining lineage."

"We must announce the execution of King Teron's daughter and guide our princess turned acting queen of Arceal to the same guillotine Sarii had used on her brother. Perhaps we can kill the Curse with it too."

"The fadings are happening faster... I don't remember who some of these 'mon are. Please, we can't live longer like this. I know it's cruel but we need King Teron."

"Sarii's Curse must have something to do with our King's disappearance. Maybe the fading is also Sarii's fault. We need to know if the Curse knows anything, and if not, it is safer to kill it anyways."

Multiple individuals have drawn the same conclusion. King Teron must be forced from his hiding, and the Curse is deemed guilty for the King's self imposed exile. No thanks are held for the godkiller, only anger from the subjects of Arceal and the need to punish him for the sins of Sarii.

And yet, plans need time to be put into action, there is a lull before the storm passes yet again. And in this calm center, the future can be nudged from its predictable outcome. The world is fading, but the death of Sarii healed a gaping wound it had endured during the time of another godkiller. An opportunity to invoke the will and help of another divine.

A lone absol, blindfolded and meandering aimlessly on the desert wastes tilts his horn towards the empty void on the outskirts of the abandoned and ancient city Deieketa. He stands as a statue for hours on end until the void is no more. The cool humidity of a lush forest and the scent of distant rain now calling to the desert accustomed absol and yet, he turns away and disappears into the hot shimmering air.

Meanwhile a Lake Guardian concerns himself with another matter.

"Have you found any starborn eggs?"

But his quest is of no relevance at the present moment, only the life of a largely bicolored umbreon.

Storm Eye lazes about on the banks of the southern river, watching his adopted daughter play with the son of his first friend. Blissfully unaware of the larger world and more concerned about his next grocery run to the city Damonia. Adventure had called him once before and he answered. Perhaps some tales he can share with you before it comes knocking once again, for he is also known as the Godkiller or the Curse. How you come to your questions is unknown, but the chill of a desert's night are rife with secrets best whispered 'lest the wind carry them far in it's hushed movement across the sands.
