I know this website is full of white people and folks who hate California but right now ICE is raiding the city of Los Angeles and detaining hundreds of people a day, many of whom are not undocumented and cannot legally be deported. They're just grabbing brown people off the street, and attorneys are saying these people are being held in basements with no beds and limited water.

Californians and our government have been fighting Trump every step of the way since January, launching massive scale riots in Los Angeles. Our governor is trying to get the national guard off our streets. And now like the petty little pissbaby he is, Trump is threatening to cut off all federal funding to California in retaliation.

I haven't posted about this because it's upsetting and I feel like everyone fucking hates California and always assumes we deserve whatever we get. But frankly, our state government might be the strongest and most hopeful opposition to this federal administration. And right now our streets are full of feds, our people are being beaten and imprisoned, and our president is holding education and social services hostage in the hopes that we back down and let them do this. I don't give a fuck if you hate California and are tired of hearing about it. You need to be paying attention to this.
