SILENCE IS POWER

You must have noticed it, and if not, start noticing from now. People of power, authority are observed to be quite. The mystery they carry is good enough to be intimidating. Their stoic personality slow movement of not just the body but also their mouth radiates presence of self control. One who speaks less is heard more.

Try this simple yet effective experiment if you ever come across a group discussion. Initially become a good listener. Do not speak a word, try to act as if you are all ears e.g.; lean forward to show that you are carefully listening to the person who is speaking. Try to catch eye contact of the person who is speaking, nod head if needed, look them in the area between their eyes creating a tunnel of connection and constant eye contact. Remember your body language would be doing the discussion and not your words. Be calm and composed with slow body movements maintaining a good body posture. Give chance to the people who are eager to speak and do the same with them. When you think almost every one has spoken, its your turn to open up. Start with a good loud voice and throw a sentence that makes sense. chances are you would make a point since you have all the data, a better area of judgement and a good guess of the other personalities. And since no one has heard you speak a word, they are dying to listen to you, "The Mystery Man".

You must notice that suddenly every one is quite and you are being heard, you are unknowingly being respected.
