Herbalism in fiction and the movies
People have been using herbal remedies for many hundreds of years. So it’s no wonder that herbalism features in many movies and novels. Here are a few favorite herbalist movies and books.
Herbology in Harry Potter
Top of the list has to be everyone’s favorite, Harry Potter. I’m sure the magical spells, potions and lotions in the series by J.K. Rowling sparked an interest in herbalism, particularly GryffinBrew and HuffleBrew herbal teas!
In the Harry Potter series, Hogwarts’ students have to attend Herbology classes with Professor Sprout who teaches them about plants and fungi. Many plants are used in potions and medicine while others have magical qualities. It's in these classes that they learn to care for Mandrakes, whose screams can be fatal.
Hogwarts headmistress Phyllida Spore wrote One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi full of magical herbs and fungi found in the wizarding world. Obviously, it was a required text for students and contained essential advice like "Never eat the leaves of the Alihotsy tree (also known as the Hyena tree). These leaves cause uncontrollable laughter."
You can find out about herbal remedies in this Master Herbalist certification online course by International Open Academy.
Juliette of the Herbs - Lyrical Movie
This is a beautiful movie about the life of Juliette de Bairacli Levy, who was a herbalist, traveler, writer and pioneer of holistic veterinary medicine. She traveled throughout Europe, North Africa and Israel where she lived with Romani people and farmers who shared their herbal folklore.
She published several books on herbal remedies and is credited with writing the first book for vets on holistic medicine. She cured sheep in Yorkshire with a remedy of ivy, garlic and molasses - sounds delish!
This movie is filmed on location interwoven with clips from Juliette's extensive archive of photos. It is a fabulous portrayal of the real life of a nomadic woman who used traditional herbal treatments to heal.
The Cadfael Chronicles - Historical Murder Mysteries
There are 20 novels set in 12th century England and written by Edith Pargeter under the name Ellis Peters. Cadfael is a Benedictine monk and talented herbalist at Shrewsbury Abbey in England who helps solve murders. Many plants and herbs are mentioned in the Chronicles along with descriptions of how they were traditionally used in Medieval times.
Cadfael's herbal remedies include a fennel and mint syrup for babies with colic, and a horehound mixture for monks with colds and sore throats.
The books were adapted for television in the 1990s and you can watch them now on Amazon Prime.
China Bayles - Herbal Mysteries
The China Bayles novels by Susan Wittig Albert center around China, who quits being a big-shot lawyer to run a small-town herbal shop in Texas. However, it is not as quiet as she may have wished for and she solves murders using her expert knowledge of herbs. Each China Bayles' mystery has a signature herb connected to the plot and is sprinkled with information about herbs.
Thornyhold - Fantasy Novel
Written by Mary Stewart, this is a story about a lonely child, Gilly, who inherits her cousin's house, Thornyhold, along with her reputation as a herbalist and white witch. As you'd expect in a fantasy novel, the house is set in the heart of a wild wood and is like something out of a fairy tale. It comes complete with a resident black cat and a room filled with herbs.
The Good Herbs - Award-Winning Movie
One thing that makes this film so special is its recurrent theme of plants and herbs, native to Mexico, with medicinal properties. Writer and director Maria Novaro mixes up the drama with moments of ancient wisdom by making plant drawings come to life from the pages of the book or showing amazing close-ups of flowers and insects. It is about a mum, who suffers memory lapses, and her daughter who is a single mom raising her young son on her own.

6 personal benefits of learning ASL
Debating studying American Sign Language? There are lots of personal benefits to learning ASL that you have probably never considered. From improved communication skills to career growth, see just what sign language can do for you.
1. Allows you to communicate with an entirely new group of people
ASL is probably way more widespread than you might think. In fact, 500,000 people use ASL every day and 2 million have it as a second language. Learning ASL will introduce you to a vibrant and beautiful culture that you wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to experience.
2. Builds better communication skills
Our body language, facial expressions and gestures are vital to the way in which we communicate with others. ASL helps you to better understand and use these communication tools in your everyday life, as they are an integral part of mastering how to effectively use the language. ASL also helps to practice eye contact and can aid those who have trouble verbally expressing emotions.
3. Allows you to become a better listener
In sign language, you can’t just turn away from the person signing to you and still be able to hold a conversation! ASL will help you truly learn to focus and be present during a conversation, which in turn will make you a better listener and communicator.
4. Improves your spelling
Although there are signs for almost every word, fingerspelling is still very useful in ASL. It is frequently used for those words that don’t have a sign, or when trying to refer to a word you don’t know the sign for yet. This makes it essential for you to learn to spell many words. Additionally, our brain will more easily remember how to spell something when we sign it thanks to muscle memory!
5. Broadens your opportunities
All of which you have just read about above will increase your professional and personal opportunities. No matter what profession we are in, communication is often the key to success. Being present in a conversation, holding eye contact, as well as properly using and understanding body language are all extremely useful and relevant skills to hold. Many companies are also aiming to be socially responsible and more inclusive and therefore value skills like ASL that allow you to communicate with a wider range of customers.
6. Gives you the ability to communicate in lots of different circumstances
Consider all the different situations during which you can’t communicate using your spoken language. For example, underwater, at the library, through a closed window, in a loud environment, at the movies or even when your mouth is full. ASL comes in handy in all of these situations and more!
How can you learn ASL?
We know you are most likely a busy person with lots of commitments. That’s why the best way for you to learn sign language will be to take an online course. Teaching English online: Props That Will Make Your Lessons Pop
People learn in different ways and one clear way for many people to remember things is to visualize them. It is more effective to show someone a house, cat or car, then to describe it when you are teaching new words as an English language teacher.
Props come in super handy. They can also be a great way to entertain or amuse your students - and you will find it is a welcome distraction rather than have students staring at you for the entire lesson.
Whenever you see something - from pictures in a magazine to old toys in a garage sale - think about whether they would come in useful while you teach English online. If so, grab them. Have a special box or cupboard for your teaching props, so they are quick to find when you need them.
Here are a few ideas of what you can use as props when you become an online English tutor.
Old school flashcards
Flashcards are a very useful tool to help students remember what they are being taught, particularly for visual learners. They can be used for all ages. For beginners or to teach children, you can get flashcards showing the alphabet, numbers, animals, fruit, parts of the body, essential words, and colors, for example. You can buy them on Amazon, if you don’t have a toy or book store nearby which stocks them. It’s even easier to make them yourself and print them out on a piece of A4 paper.
Puppets and stuffed toy animals
These are fabulous for teaching children as you can use them to dramatize stories, sing songs or play games. You can make your own puppets out of socks - or buy online - and soft toys can be picked up in secondhand or thrift stores. You might already own some. You can also use the cuddly toy to ask your students questions and they respond to it. They may feel more comfortable talking to a cute toy than to their teacher, particularly if they are a bit shy with you at first.
Children’s toys
Other children’s toys are also handy teaching props, such as plastic fruit or animals and furniture from a doll’s house. These are all words you will be teaching beginners and for them to see the object as they say the word will help them to memorize it.
Reward system
If you are teaching English to children, they will love a reward system. It makes them feel proud to get a gold star, for example. You could set up a whiteboard and stick stars on it, or anything else you feel they may love, such as chocolate cakes or hot dogs. At the end of the course, you can add up the rewards together to see how many they have collected.
Changing your background
You can switch the background of your virtual classroom so it fits in with the theme of your lesson. For example, with  OBS Studio, you could change the background so it looks as though you are in a shop or mall if you are talking about shopping, or at a stadium if you are talking about sport. You need to download OBS VirtualCam plugin from the OBS website. Add it to Skype, Zoom or whichever video conferencing system you use, and then change your background.
Don’t forget your 120 Hour TESOL certificate. You can study it online with International Open Academy who also have a Make Money Teaching English Online course compiled by five online English teachers sharing their priceless experiences. They will take you inside this booming industry to discover how to build a great career for yourself as an online English teacher.

Google Hangouts vs. Skype vs. Zoom for online English classes
So you want to teach English online...now what?
The first step is getting your TESOL certification, which many employers require. The next step is finding students to teach and figuring out how you can actually get paid to teach English online.
If you have step one and two down, then it’s time to dive into how you will run your online classes. In other words, which platform should you use to connect with your students?
Let’s compare three of the most popular online video chat programs: Google Hangouts, Skype and Zoom. All three offer the basics that you will need, such as video chatting, screen sharing and text chatting, but there are differences to keep in mind when choosing the right one for you.
Google Hangouts
Video chat limit: 25 people
Time limit: None
Price: Free
Pros:
It is pretty simple to use and although there is an IOS and Android app available, it really isn’t required as it works fine on web browsers. If you already use Gmail and Google Calendar, then Hangouts will seamlessly integrate with your setup.
Cons:
Unlike the other two listed here, unless you have a paid G Suite account then your students will have to have a Gmail account to join a video chat. However, as many people already have a Google account, it likely won’t require too much extra effort. Out of the three, it also offers the smallest class size.
Skype
Video chat limit: 50 people
Time limit: None
Price: Free
Pros: Compared to our other competitors, Skype offers the biggest class size for free. As it launched in 2003, Skype is also the oldest of the three, so chances are high that people are familiar with it. It is possible to join a video chat without creating an account, it just requires a little extra effort so we put it in the “Cons” section.
Cons: Skype makes it a bit less intuitive to chat with people who 1. don’t already have a Skype account and 2. haven’t been added to your contact list yet. There are ways around this, you just have to jot them down for future reference:
1. Use the link https://www.skype.com/en/free-conference-call/ to create your own meeting link to share.
2. Click “New Group Chat” in the Skype app, type in the name for your group and then click “Done” when it prompts you to invite people from your contacts. Next, click “Invite More People” and click “Share link to join group” to invite whoever you want.
Zoom
Video chat limit: 100
Time limit: Unless you pay for the Pro version, there is a daily 40 minute limit if 3 or more people are in the video chat. If there are less than 3 people, there is no time limit in the free version.
Price: There is a limited free option available and the Pro version costs $14.99/month.
Pros: The class limit is great, as none of the others support this many people. It is easy to invite people to a group chat and overall simple to use. You don’t need to make an account or download any software, although the downloaded version of Zoom has more options. It’s also fun as there are interesting tidbits to liven up your chats, such as different backgrounds you can use.
Cons: The price, especially considering both Google Hangouts and Skype offer a lot more for free than Zoom does.
If you are looking for more tips about which tools and software to use for your online classes, check out International Open Academy’s Make Money Teaching English Online course, now for just $19.

Teach English Online: Group teaching vs. one-on-one lessons
If you want to teach English online, there are many things that you will have to decide. One of them is whether you want to hold individual or group classes, or a mix of the two. The answer to this question is...it all depends! Check out our comparison below to help you decide what is best for you and your students.
Group teaching
Pros:
You can have lots of different activities for students, making the class more dynamic. Students can work together in pairs or groups, play games and compete for prizes.
You will save time in prepping as students given a game or discussion as an activity can fill 20 minutes of class time in completing their assignment.
Students have a lot more time to practice communicating with many different people. Those who are less vocal or shy can slowly overcome their fears and gain confidence.
Students won’t feel as overwhelmed or pressured when the attention is split among a few different students.
Cons:
It will be more difficult to tailor to each student’s individual needs and difficulties.
Some students may advance faster than others, making it harder to plan classes that will be beneficial for all students.
The bigger the group, the harder it will be to schedule and reschedule classes.
One-on-one lessons
Pros:
You can focus all your attention on one student and their needs, which means any difficulties will be easily addressed.
You can tailor classes to each individual and take on a wide range of students. A young child just starting out with English will have different requirements than an adult who needs to brush up on business English.
You can go at the student’s own pace and make sure they thoroughly understand the material before moving on.
You can really connect and get to know each individual student.
It is easier to schedule and reschedule than when you have group classes.
Cons:
As the student won’t have peers to interact with and 100% of the attention is focused on them, the class could become boring or stressful.
Students will be missing out on the opportunity to do group projects and speak English with and among multiple people.
If you are teaching a child, it will be hard to keep their attention as they tend to require a lot of stimulation to stay engaged.
It will be less accessible to some students, as individual lessons tend to come with higher price tags.
Are you looking for more tips and advice on how to teach English from home?

Take a look below at our guide to setting up a classroom to teach English online. It’s full of handy tips for existing TESOL teachers as well as those considering becoming an online ESL tutor. Find out more about getting your TESOL certification online.
How To Set Up A Classroom For Teaching English Online
Teaching English online is booming. TESOL teachers can find students anywhere in the world. Use these guidelines to help you set up your online classroom.
Practice makes perfect
If you’re working for an online agency, test-drive their platform. See how you start and stop lessons and generally navigate your way around the system.
If you’re going solo, choose which platform suits you best. Popular ones are Zoom, Skype and Google Hangouts. Bear in mind where your students will be based and whether they will be able to access it.
Get your friends to pretend to be students so you get the hang of the system before going live.
Be in the right place
Think of what students can see in the background. You don’t want them to be distracted by your clutter or your wall hangings, for example. Choose a neutral background or you can pick a virtual background on Zoom and Skype, for example.
Invest in decent headphones with a microphone which will reduce the background noise. If you’re working in a public space, pick a quiet area, so students can hear you and you can hear them.
Be prepared
Plan your TESOL lesson ahead of time and make sure you have everything you need by your side. You don’t want to have to move away from your screen once the lesson starts. Make sure your students know what to have with them too - textbook, paper, pens, etc.
Check your laptop is up to scratch for online classrooms for hours at a time. Also see that your wifi can cope or get a backup system in place.
Look like a TESOL teacher
You’re an online English teacher, so you need to look the part. Dress appropriately. Practice a few facial expressions in the mirror so you know how to look encouraging, thoughtful, pleasant and approachable.

Find Out More About Practicing Herbal Medicine
Find out more about the preparations and education required to become a master herbalist. Have a quick peek about certification, job duties and schooling to see if this the ideal career path for you.
Prospective herbalists can choose from among a variety of different training programs. For example, some schools offer non-degree programs, online courses, and workshops in herbology. For those strictly interested in advising clients, great care must be taken, as a herbalist cannot diagnose conditions or prescribe treatment when acting in an advisory role.
If a career practicing herbal medicine is the ultimate goal, one in which the herbalist can diagnose and prescribe herbs, then students must undergo more intensive training. Graduate schools offer master's and doctoral degree programs in traditional Chinese medicine that may include an introduction to botany and herbology, a herbal treatment used to treat dermatological diseases, and integrated East/West medicine. Students interested in becoming naturopathic doctors must complete a 4-year training program that includes courses in botanical medicine, homeopathy, and pharmacology. Allopathic physicians, who go to medical school to study traditional Western medicine, may seek board certification in complementary medicine, including herbology.
Tumblr media
Even though herbalists are not legally allowed to practice medicine in several countries, they are permitted to work as producers of herbal remedies, educators, researchers, and consultants. Master herbalists are employed in several sectors, helping people to choose herbal remedies for several applications. The salary and job duties can vary depending on the career path they decide on. However, it is to be believed that most of these herbal practitioners are self-employed.
The employment field where self-employed Master Herbalists work varies. Thy can create natural products to be sold in health-shops and stores or focus on serving the public by assisting them with natural remedies to health-related ailments such as rheumatism, asthma, arthritis, stomach problems and skin disorder including rashes and acne.
Many countries, expect that individuals who prescribe pharmaceutical medications and carry out medical diagnoses must have a degree in medicine. Then, on the other hand, no degree in medicine is expected when you see clients and assist them to better their lifestyle through the use of remedies made by herbal substances. Lots of master herbalist examine their patients and give them an opinion of why they are suffering from certain health issues. After the assessment, they will advise on lifestyle changes that could help with the ailments. Most clients don’t have any health problems when consulting a master herbalist. Every so often, individuals only turn to herbalists to seek a natural approach to improve the quality of their health.
Tumblr media
Herbalist that are certified focuses on three types of medicines; these are Ayurvedic herbs hailing from India, traditional herbs from China, Western herb hailing from North America or Europe. Being a herbalist allows you to join in on all phases to process herbal remedies, from growing the plants to the production of fresh herbs. These herbs can contain any part of a plant and can be gathered in the wild or be cultivated. Once a master herbalist has fresh herbs he can manufacture tinctures or powders, and/or tinctures.
Due to the lack of national or state licensing, herbalists may not diagnose or treat illnesses. Professionals in this field are limited to teaching or consulting roles when it comes to their knowledge of herbs. They may teach herbal courses at colleges or medical schools, and counsel people on how to use herbs to maintain health. While herbalists must complete some education and training to become certified, those who wish to expand their role may continue their education in a Doctor of Naturopathy degree program and become a licensed health care practitioner.

Teaching in a foreign country is a wonderful experience that will give you the perfect opportunity to learn a new language, different cultures, make new friends and explore new frontiers.
More than 1 billion people are being taught English as a second langue each year and the demand for skilled English educators is in high demand. In some of the countries and schools, it is not necessary to have prior teaching experience, a college degree or a degree in English. However, the requirements for hiring an English teacher varies and without the essential tertiary education in this field, you will need to look for a job that fits your level of expertise. In this article, you will find some frequent questions asked about what requirements are needed to teach abroad.
Tumblr media
To teach English abroad, do you require a College Degree?
In order to be hired as a teacher in some countries, particularly in parts of Asia, the Persian Gulf and western Europe you will need to have a college degree. However, some individual schools abide by their own requirements and a degree will not be needed, depending on whether the establishments follow a certain teaching methodology, are private institutions or public schools.
Then again, there are several countries where you can be paid to teach without a 4-year degree including Eastern Europe, Latin America and specific countries located in Asia, such as China and Cambodia.
There are loads of information online where you can look at what the teaching requirements are for teaching English in over fifty countries around the world and compare them. Furthermore, you will discover additional information like visa requirements, hiring seasons and salary expectations, that will assist you to decide where you want to teach.
What about a TEFL Certificate?
Usually, it is required to have a TEFL certificate since it proves that you received training to teach English as a second language. It is possible however to find a job without this qualification, or prior experience but owning this certificate will make your teaching job so much easier. Also, it will give you more opportunities to teach in more countries.
Do you need experience in teaching?
It is beneficial to have some teaching experience and some of the schools require you to have it, but the only approach to obtain teaching experience is to work. Fortunately, most of the schools do not require it and countless English speakers get work without any experience.
Do you have to be a Native English Speaker?
It all depends on where you want to teach. Countries like Latin America don’t care if you are a native speaker however many big Asian countries like Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, and Cina, as well as the Gulf countries, prefer to hire only English native speakers.
Can only young people Teach Abroad
There are teaching programs that only allow certain age groups (between the ages 20-35) to teach abroad, but then again there are so many prospects out there that people of all ages can teach. For those who are under the age of 20, might find it hard to find a full-time teaching position, then again you can still obtain experience by volunteering at summer camps. If you are above 50, you will still be able to get work, subject to your teaching experience. Latin American countries, as well as Southeast Asia, have loads of opportunities.
If you have a desire to teach English in a foreign country, you have the motivation to make a difference in your students' live and you meet the requirements then there is no reason why you should not grab this opportunity and begin this amazing journey.

Benefits Of Becoming A Master Herbalist
Becoming a master herbalist offers its range of exciting benefits that cannot be ignored. Whether you want to become a master herbalist in your part-time or you want to make it your full-time career, completing an accredited qualification is the first step to success, helping you learn all aspects of the industry which you can put to use to push yourself forward in a competitive industry.
The first benefit of becoming a master herbalist is that your work is focused on nature. If you are not the type of person who can sit in an office all day and work behind a desk typing on a computer, then this may be the right career choice for you. Being out in the fresh air and sunshine is something many will choose over a normal nine to five office job.
The second benefit of becoming a master herbalist is that there is no set way in which you must work. You can start your own business and work independently, you can work from a clinic, practice or you can consult. The world is open to you, so you can choose which is the best option for you in the long run. Some people prefer being independent, working for themselves. If you are still working full time and studying part-time, then you can start your herbalist business part-time until you have enough to quit your mundane job and start your herbalist career.
Tumblr media
The world is your oyster when you complete a master herbalist qualification. Several industries use herbalists, which means you have a wide choice of opportunities in which to use your new skills and knowledge. You can own and operate your herbal farms and greenhouses, or you can work as a tea blender. Some master herbalists work as physicians, midwives and nurses, while some work at skincare salons and spas. You can work at alternative health clinics, work as a chef or run workshops, write blogs and so much more.
Being a master herbalist lets you do work without damaging the planet. We have all become more environmentally friendly as we work to save the environment where we can. Herbalists work with nature and conservation, listening to your goals for environmentally friendly solutions.
Another of the many great benefits of becoming a master herbalist is that you help your clients make their own smart health choices that work for them. Educating your clients, providing them with quality herbs and working with them can help your clients reduce the number of dangerous medications they use and turn to herbal remedies, which are safer and provide fewer side effects.
In addition to this, being a master herbalist puts you in demand around the world. Some herbalists are teachers, midwives, aromatherapists, missionaries, doctors, chefs and more. Being a master herbalist enables you to use your new skills and knowledge anywhere in the world.
Further, being a master herbalist enables you to learn about different countries, cultures, and practices. You get insider's views into some of the professionals in their own countries, which you can bring back to your home country with you.
You can use your new herbalist skills to cater to your community's particular requirements, ensuring that you help your clients achieve the best results. You help people, the same as a doctor. You help your clients find alternative options, you let them explore and provide a choice of options that they can select from.

Tips To Teaching English Anywhere In The World
The last decade, the demand for English teachers around the world has skyrocketed. Anyone who doesn't have English as a language understands the importance both in the workplace and at home. ESL (English as a Second Language) has advanced due to technology, making it easier for students to learn English and easy for students to learn how to teach English as a Second Language to students around the world.
Teaching English as a Second Language enables you to teach anywhere in the world, as long as you have the right qualifications to back you up. You can work online and teach from the comfort of your own home, or you can travel the world, teaching at different schools helping students improve their English language skills with confidence.
Tumblr media
Now it's important to remember that there is a big difference between teaching in-person and teaching English online. Teaching in person requires you to focus on non-verbal and verbal cues, such as body language. This helps you identify if you are getting through to your students and if they are understanding you. If you choose to teach online from the comfort of your home, then you will find the teaching task challenging and exciting, without the body language to help you.
Technical issues are another major problem for anyone who wants to teach English. Bad internet connections in the session or a screen freezing can leave you stressed and unable to complete your teaching. Teaching English is about speaking and listening, you need your students to hear you clearly and you need to understand them clearly.
If you choose to teach English online to students anywhere in the world, then you need to consider time zones. You may have to teach late at night or in the early hours of the morning, which means you could find yourself working long hours.
The first important tip to teaching English anywhere in the world is to get a teaching qualification. You don't need a teaching qualification from your country, you need an approved international qualification. This is a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification. TEFL prepares you how to teach a language to non-native speakers. TEFL gives you a solid grounding on essential skills and methodologies so you can teach English online with one hundred percent confidence.
The second important tip to teaching English anywhere in the world is to decide where you are going to teach. If you intend teaching online: are you going to work from home? If so, which room in the home can you set up to look like a school classroom (eliminating any bedroom furniture and dirty laundry lying around).
You may prefer to travel the world, learn different cultures and experience new countries. Research and find the schools and academies looking for native English teachers and apply. This is a wonderful opportunity to travel the world while earning money to continue your travels moving forward.
You might think that just because you are a native English speaker that you have any TEFL job in the bag, however that’s simply not the case. Of course having a degree and being a native English teacher is more appealing to schools and colleges, if you intend teaching abroad in person. Complete your TEFL training online in the comfort of your home and in your own time, then start looking around for teaching opportunities you can take advantage of anywhere in the world.

Education and Training make Sense for Many
Education and training will always stand us in good stead, no matter where or under what circumstances we find ourselves. That is why kids go to school and later to college or university.
Of course, things develop all the time and nowadays online courses are offered to students every day. It suits many, either because they live far away from training centres and facilities, or they have a full-time job and can only study outside of normal hours. Others, again, prefer the flexibility that online training and education offers them.
Tumblr media
This is a growing trend that has become more and more popular in recent times, and it will probably gain much more ground in the future. Reasons are easy to understand: it offers students flexibility and great choices since the best of these online colleges or training facilities compete for the top spot, and they make sure they keep on developing and offering more, better courses. The best ones among them will always stand out and ensure that their courses are better, their course material excellent and their support structures of such a nature that they will be the preferred service for students.
Tumblr media
Also, the bigger ones make sure they offer many courses, and they make sure that they add courses and course material all the time, and that they are seen to be among the best because any student wants to offer a qualification from a leading institute, college or online service.
Online training can be done in different ways, and students are ensured that they receive their instructions and manuals in accordance with what the course offers – especially if you deal with a good, recommended service. All sorts of subjects are offered online today, whether you are interested in the well-supported TESOL/TEFL courses, or anything else right from design, art, maintenance or animal grooming or accounting and bookkeeping.
There are many possibilities – you want to be sure you deal with a service known for their choices, the quality of their education and the name they have in their industry. Therefore it will always serve the trouble to take a bit of time and do research to see who the recommended facilities – also the best online providers – are for the course you want to follow.
Some make sure their services are available all over the world, and they will, therefore, design packages and programs to suit their students no matter where they are. Some will be known for the outstanding courses they offer in terms of various skills such as for example, language, and relevant fields. The best ones may even offer students the opportunity to learn about – or improve upon their knowledge of – American Sign Language or ASL.
Tumblr media
It is one of those courses that not every college or facility offers, and most likely not to be found every day as an online course. If this is, for example, of interest to you, it is good to know that these services do indeed exist and that you will certainly come across great options to study ASL as either an introductory skill or to improve upon those skills you may already have acquired.
The best among these will make sure you are given the tools to communicate with millions around the world that have knowledge of – or the need to use it – ASL. Good services will teach you so many aspects right from basic grammar to advanced skills – and even how you can become part of the wider ASL community and become a teacher yourself if that is what you want.
Online training offers so many possibilities today, not only theory or TESOL/TEFL courses or ASL. Good services now make sure they can reach out to many more people, many more than in the past that never had the opportunity to develop themselves and their skills. Look around the internet. The ideal service is available.

Teaching Abroad – Get a Good Qualification
Thousands of young people, but often seniors too – leave their city and home country every year to teach abroad, and especially English that is still preferred as a universal medium of communication favoured by most.
English teachers are popular in many parts of the world and are therefore always in demand, especially if they offer a great, internationally popular and accepted qualification such as the TESOL/TEFL that is highly sought after everywhere. This qualification is accepted in many – even all – countries all over the world and is accepted as a qualification that has prepared the one that holds it to be able to offer English as a language to foreign speakers, or speakers whose first language is not English.
Tumblr media
In many countries, there remains a shortage of teachers who are indeed able to teach it to foreigners, and therefore those with the qualification find good jobs in many parts of the world. Being a home language speaker of English that offers a good qualification such as a TESOL/TEFL certificate makes one sought after in countries where there are not enough English teachers, which means you will always have a great chance to find a position in a foreign country.
Many teachers, especially the younger ones, love this opportunity since it also makes it possible for them to see far-away places, experience different cultures and to be exposed to customs other than their own. Also, while teaching abroad, there are often opportunities to travel during free time.
All of this is great for the adventurous and also a wonderful opportunity to see and experience the world before you settle down in your own country – or even abroad. To prepare yourself for these exciting opportunities you need to enroll for the course that will prepare you, of which the TESOL/TEFL is the most sought-after by employers in those countries where you may wish to work.
A good qualification such as this opens up many possibilities and offers qualified teachers great opportunities to apply for jobs in many countries where there is a need for English teachers. Also, not only children need to learn English; grownups often require this skill, some at basic level others at higher, more advanced levels. It will, therefore, depend on the skills the applicant brings to the table when they apply.
Tumblr media
There are different opportunities available everywhere whether you are looking for a job in Europe, or the Middle East, the East, Africa or South America. Opportunities abound, depending on your preference. But, first of all, you need to get the qualification from a recommended facility that trains and educates students for this purpose. Some of these services come highly recommended and their qualifications and accreditations are sought after.
Depending on your circumstances and preferences you can do an online course to ensure you get a great TESOL/TEFL qualification to make you eligible to teach in many countries everywhere. Successful candidates are normally those that love adventure, those that want to experience things other than what they know – and they have a good qualification that has prepared them to teach, to prepare lessons or lectures, to monitor students’ progress and to remain committed to helping others.
Teaching English is one area of interest. Depending on what your aims are, you may be interested in studying other subjects. In that case, you may look at other service providers; however, the best services often offer many more qualifications than only taking students for TESOL/TEFL. Some are highly regarded for many different subjects and areas of interest.
Very often the best ones also offer their courses online, which suits so many students – often from different parts of the world, since the internet and online training have opened up so many new avenues all over. Some of these services are truly outstanding; if you do a little bit of research, you will quickly find the best among those that advertise.
