Okay, so, turns out, quite a few of my templates are now "reclaimed URLs". Of which, a grand total of one "reclaimed" paste has been given literally any content. The rest either say "I will do something with this later" or are literally blank.

Very annoying. I thought my rentries would be safe, given that I add "-temp" (as in "template") to the end of each URL. They are certainly not desirable for collectors. Did they just see that the pastes had a lot of views, and assume it was a valuable URL?

Thank you to the Wayback Machine for capturing the codes. The following templates have now been moved to new URLs:

Tropical gyaru template: gyaru-temp -> tropigyaru-temp

Kokichi Ouma template: kokichi-temp -> ouma-temp

Kangel template (matching): kangel-temp -> intrnetgrl-temp

Ame template (matching): ame-temp -> needygrl-temp

The links in my rentry template masterlist and the tumblr posts for the templates have been updated accordingly.

Hello, my dearest nerds! 🩷

You may notice that I’ve been inactive for quite a while. I wanted to shed some light on why that is.

I feel like nobody much likes or needs rentry templates like mine anymore. Ever since metadata was added to rentry, it feels like everybody has been using that to make their rentries super duper cool and unique and complex! Which is amazing!

But here’s an example of what I mean:

I get overwhelmed by the metatext element to rentry, and I just want to keep making templates the way I always have. But I think that nobody wants boring old templates like that anymore.

I suppose I realized I never actually asked you guys, though. Is there still a desire for simpler rentry templates? Or do you feel nobody uses them anymore? Let me know! Bless 🙏

Editblr Community Survey

hi, everyone! so, recently while we were procrastinating making edits as usual, we came up with an idea. now, has this sort of thing been done before? possibly. do we care? not really lmao. basically, what this is, is a survey! anyone who edits and/or runs an edit blog is free to do it. all the questions are optional and everything is anonymous! its not a super long survey, it shouldn't take longer than ten minutes to do. its mostly fun questions and demographic stuff, because we love data and statistics so much, its going to be so fun to go through all the responses. and if anyone has any suggestions for more questions, we can always update it! we're planning on publishing the results in like, two weeks? its not set in stone lol. so, if you're an editor and want to take part in something a little dumb, go do this survey! thank you so much if you do.

I know I’ve been inactive…! Popping back in, before I finish my next request, to say: pleaaase don’t lie about my graphics or rentries being made for you…

I just found a graphic from this post (on my edit account) on this rentry, with a blatant lie that the graphic was made specifically for the rentry… It wasn’t! 💢

I make my edits and my templates free to use if you just like or reblog! I don’t watermark my things… Heck! I don’t even request credit!! This is all so that my stuff is as free to use as possible. It is more work to type out the words “I made this graphic” or “this graphic was made for me” than it is to just put the graphic there with no comment.

If you see anyone doing this, or know the person linked, please kindly let them know that it is not appreciated! (And possibly let me know their socials so I can block them…)

ooookay oh my fosh i actually have a lot to say (/pos obvi)

firstly lavendergalactic is genuinely so cool, i cant believe how much they've grown and how quickly!!!! im so happy 4 lavender its genuinely unreal- they deserve every bit of attention theyve gotten and i just hope that they can keep growing, plus their editing style for graphics and layouts is so cool & unique! not to mention how sweet they are to everyone and how much theyve inspired countless, im so happy that theyre on tumblr && are able to edit & allat. another thing is how pretty their themes are like their emu theme was so cute and now the freminet theme? its so iconic honestly and its so pleasing to look at!!!!

another one is for internetoverdosed (i think that was their user i feel bad not remembering) but the way he makes templates are so pleasing, not to mention the way theyre still accessible! of course also adding how pretty her theme is, sure it simple but it fits so so SO well!!!! not to mention the fact their making templates is just so cool!!! honestly rentry in itself can be hard to figure out at first and im more than sure people definitely are getting so much help with templates. another thing is honestly the way he handles things is professional (?? is that the word?? idfk HELP) and the fact he arent one to just let things slide by and stands on his morals & holds his ground is really admirable in itself.

another one is for phantasverie, his theme in general is SO aesthetic and pleasing? notto mention its ALL his own art!! thats so admirable and i swear hes one of my inspos. plus in general the way it edits everything and lays everything out is so pretty and oh my goodness i love occasionally just looking at the account due to how pretty it is!!! also the rentries arw all so pretty and unique im honestly always inspired to make something whenever i look at the account or rentries (hopefully that doesnt sound bad) and im honestly reallt admiring him.

okay last one is fooorrr you!! because honestly i really appreciate the way youve gone out of your way to make an account dedicated purely to positivity and generally just uplifting others rather than bringing them down. i also LOVE LOVE LOVE your theme its so cute & pretty as a whole, oh my goodness honestly it tastes like sweets in the best way possible and keep up thr work because genuinely your wonderful!!!
