Marry a Man
Marry a man that isn’t perfect, but knows it.
Marry a man who offers to watch shows with you every night, even if you don’t feel like watching a show.
Marry a man that lets you buy extravagant things, even if he thinks the money could be used elsewhere but he trusts you.
Marry a man that always listens, even when he’s gaming.
Marry a man that makes you feel safe.
Marry a man that holds you when you cry.
Marry a man that cooks.
Marry a man that knows how to compromise.
Marry a man that likes to cuddle, every night.
Marry a man that holds your honor higher than his own.
Marry a man who has hobbies, goals, and dreams.
Marry a man who respects what you say and holds your intelligence in high regard.
Marry a man who will talk to you, about everything.
Marry a man who loves God.
Marry a man who wants a family.
And most of all, do not mistakingly marry a boy thinking he’s a man. They are two very different things. Marry a man.
P.S. Mine is taken😉

Horrific dreams. Every night now. The dirt that used to be regular red or rich brown or soothing yellow sand now turned blue with the amount of blood that has soaked deep in its earthy depths. Screaming, constant screaming. Wailing. Myriads of different tonal cries everywhere and they haunt me. Fear, pain, grief, hopelessness, it's all equally terrifying in the crescendo of voices. The sounds eventually are so all consuming they seem muted in my head although I know they remain because the people's eyes scream at me. It is as if time is standing still for a moment. The mothers holding their dying or already dead children are screaming and running even though there is no where to go. Adrenaline will do that to you. When the cortex of your brain simple can't handle the horrors of reality anymore and the limbic system takes over for good. There aren't any men, or if there are there are only a few. Most are away fighting in the war or laying dead in the mayhem of blue soil beneath my feet. The bodies of women and children are littered like garbage across the blue soil under my feet. It has been soaked into our brains through movies, video games, and news reels, but the reality of it has not hit most of us. Our minds have become used to the idea of constant fighting. Becoming de-sensitized, if you will, to the horrors that come with it. Families: Mommies, Daddies, Babies, wherever you are, I am praying for you. I see you in my dreams often. May the horror stop soon that we may live again in peace. This is war. And it haunts my dreams.
