Today I lay on my bed looking through the window up at the trees and the blue sky painted behind the branches and I felt a sense of calm for the first time in a little while. Then the sun began to fall and lit the room up with orange and yellow and I remembered that whilst this moment is overwhelming and uncertain, there will be a time when we can return to our normalities; but perhaps when that happens, we will all be safer, wiser and more accepting than we ever were before. After reading someone’s genius tweet yesterday with advice for couples working from home together, me and the husband are going to start implementing the idea of having an invisible house assistant who we can blame for each other’s mess. We shall call him Gary. Gary didn’t manage to wash up the dishes, pick up his boxers from the bedroom floor or tidy his pile of clothes away today. Gary also left loads of random items under this bed too. I told @harrison that Gary was slacking and we both shared eye rolls 😂 Arguments kept to minimum. Winning. Nobody got time for wired bras right now. The house is all warm and somewhat tidy, we’ve had this new enormous mirror added to the bedroom so of course I needed to take a photo in front of it, and I just had a delivery from @pastaevangelists, so tonight is going to be cracking.
