will this site be welcoming of writers of all levels? meaning there won't be any pressure to be prefect at grammar? So, as long as we can be understood we are good. :) Also what will the activity requirements be like?

Hello! We are very welcoming to all so no pressure whatsoever! We also do not have a word count requirement for posts. As for activity, we ask for one in-character post every two weeks unless you have posted an absence post or let the staff know something is up. We aim to make ITU a fun and stress-free place for everyone!

The supernatural characters on ITU are governed by a supernatural council. Here is a preview about the Lousianna Council!

HISTORY

There was a time when supernatural creatures did not hide their existence from the world. The supernatural world only started to hide in the shadows in more modern history. Humans pose a great threat to supernaturals, despite their enhanced abilities. Humans greatly out number supernaturals. When they band together, they can overpower a supernatural. Historical events such as the Salem Witch Trials, the Holocaust, and the Crusades show the dangers that humans pose when coming together against a common perceived enemy. Even though the humans ended up punishing innocent parties in these situations and not their intended target, the danger they posed was still very real. Late in the seventeenth century, elder members of the vampire community called a meeting with magical leaders, a leader from a large wereanimal pack, and a leader in the true shifter community. Together they founded the First Preternatural Council. Their goal was to draft a set of laws that would protect the supernatural world from discovery, in-turn protecting all of the supernatural races. Over the centuries, the council has expanded to what it is today. Currently, there is a council in each of the states in the US that govern their local area. Other countries around the world have similar designs with their councils. All councils share one common goal: protect the secrecy of the supernatural races.

THE LOUISIANA COUNCIL

The council is the governing body of the supernatural world. The council is made up of two vampire representatives, two magical representatives, two wereanimal representatives, and one true shifter representative. Each council member is from a different coven, nest, pack, etc and is typically the leader of their respective groups. Council members are appointed by the prior representative and can be replaced by the same means as their leaderships change in their respective groups. The council meets on a regular bi-monthly schedule unless there is an emergency meeting called. The council's main purpose is to insure that the supernatural world remains secret and protected from humans and themselves. Laws are drafted and upheld by the council to uphold this goal. The council headquarters is located inside a large investment banking firm called S.N. Financials. S.N. Financials is a supernatural-run investment firm that caters to the supernatural world but is a legitimate business so there are human accounts as well. The humans just aren't aware that vampires, shifters, and witches are in charge of their money. The council chambers, quarters, and confinement cells are located on the top floors of the building and are off-limits to the public.

COUNCIL ROLES

Council members are the representatives from each supernatural group. They are typically the leader of the larger covens, nests, or packs. Council seats pass the same way each respective group changes leadership. There are seven total council seats and the council is a democracy and votes on all issues. Council members meet bi-monthly to discuss new issues as well as holding court/judgement for those that live outside the set laws. Every council member is assigned a guard from their own species. Their guard could be from a different coven, nest, or pack but once they are assigned to guard a council member, they join their respective group. Guards are assigned to their council members for life. If their council member passes before them (which is rare) they are released of their duty and typically "retire" and train other guards. Each species also has one executioner. This person carries out the council rulings and executions if required. They typically work very closely with the council member. There are various jobs available at S.N. Financial and these are all held by supernaturals. These people are not necessarily involved with the council but it is always good to be close to the council members.

STAFF SEARCH 

ITU was super successful several years ago but unfortunately, life got in the way and the site had to shut down. I am really wanting to revamp and reopen this site because I truly love it dearly! ITU  is a modern supernatural creatures site that is character driven and centered around member-made subplots. We have beautiful exclusive skin, custom templates, and just a whole bunch of awesome!

We are looking for a staff that is very collaborative in nature. We like to discuss issues/ideas and come up with solutions as a group in hopes that we reach the best possible outcome for the site. ITU is very character driven so we always put the needs of the members first and staff members are not above the rules. Since the site has officially opened, the staff responsibilities now include; keeping up with advertising, reviewing and accepting apps, updating claims, general site maintenance, and having active characters on the site. After the site has been open a bit we will come up with events and other fun things together! We try to pass out responsibilities as best as we can between staff members but no one has one specific job. Basically, if you see something that needs to be done, do it!

What we are looking for

Dedication- ITU has been in the works for a very long time so we are looking for dedicated staff members to join our team and stick with us for the long haul. A lot of time, money, and effort has gone into this site so we are looking for staff members who want to give it their all. While we don't expect you to be on the site 24/7, we like for the staff to try to check in daily. Even if it is just dropping a quick hello in the discord or cbox, we just want to make sure the staff is generally around and accessible.

Experience- We are looking for experienced staff members. Please let us know how long you’ve been rping, how long you’ve been staffing, and how experienced you are with JCINK.

Personable- Our staff is very collaborative by nature. We like to discuss all ideas and issues as a group and reach the best possible outcome for the site. We are looking for someone to get along with not only us but members and potential members. Staffers are the front lines of the site so we need someone with good personable skills. We will also be working pretty closely and will develop friendships as well as staff relationships. This includes being active in the cbox/discord as well as plotting with members.

Skills Currently- I am the only coder on staff so while it is not a requirement, I would love to add someone with some coding skills. Another staff member has been handling the graphics. Coding/graphics skills are not required but are an added bonus if you have either!

Age Must be 18+ since this will be a premium site. Our staff ages range from upper 20s-early 30s currently.
