If not for the Hound by Allnamesinuse
In this depiction of the bread riot scene from A Clash of Kings, the artist focused on how bloody it really was and the cost of the Hound’s rescue of Sansa. The scene follows their encounter at the Serpentine, where he derides her belief in “true knights,” which adds the ironic component to the current scene, as he’s now behaving exactly like that. However, the extreme violence of the incident also highlights to Sansa the price in blood such knightly tropes can have. Following this, both the Hound and Sansa come to realise some important and uncomfortable truths regarding their seemingly conflicting views on knights, one becoming a true knight and the other realising that a true knight can come in different guises that don’t encompass being a Ser.
