She had taken care to make as little noise as possible. She was good at that. Staying quiet and inconspicuous as she observed her surroundings. Invi had found Ira, not for the first time, asleep in his study. She’d fetched a blanket and, with care, placed it over his shoulders. The moment the blanket’s weight settled over him, he stirred. She released a soft breath. 

“Apologies, I didn’t want to disturb you.” She made a quiet half step back. “I feel badly robbing you of sleep, since you seem to be getting so little of it lately.”

Ira was known for having bad sleeping habits when he was studying.  The master himself had even pointed it out, though it was often to tease him for being such a bookworm.

Still, it didn’t stop him, and he could currently be found at the desk in the library, his mask set aside and his face planted in the middle of the book he’d been reading.  It was only when he felt the blanket over his shoulders that he realized he’d fallen asleep.

“…you’re allowed to wake me, Invi,” he muttered, his voice thick with sleep.

Ava's really short and apparently the youngest and super close in age to her Union members (who are all like. Children and teenagers), so. I don't imagine her being old enough to have completed, like, regular modern college? Like, she's not dumb, but she doesn't seem like a super genius prodigy either?

FOR EXAMPLE for the holidays he does that Asian thing where they all get cash money in a red envelope in descending order depending on how much he likes them (most money to Invi, then Ava, then Ira, then Gula, then Aced) BUT. but but but

Luxu actually gets the most money of all EXCEPT it’s not in the envelope, the envelope contains elaborate instructions for where to go dig up his box full of money out in the middle of fucking nowhere

“Aah!” It was a very disarming feeling, to suddenly have your feet leave the ground. Instinctively her hands gripped the ones currently holding her suspended in midair. She felt her scarf slip down, revealing the lower half of her face. 

“Aced, I’m already well aware of how strong you are. Now, if you would be so kind, I’d like to have my feet back on the ground.”

“To be fair, he most likely had many years to get settled into the position,” she pointed out. It was, of course, just as likely the Master had been a natural at it. However, Ira needed encouragement at the moment. 

“I would advise you try not to overwork yourself. You have a tendency of fixating on things.”

Ira was sitting at his desk, his head was resting on the cool surface as he listened to Invi speak. As usual her words were wise, but this time her words were much softer. “Invi, I ask that you forgive me for my outburst.”

“Vodka, Kahlua and milk,” she answered. “I didn’t realize it was that sweet. I made sure to add plenty of milk.” She sipped on hers, humming thoughtfully. “Apologies, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind for future reference.”

Ava: But alliances are forbidden Aced.

Aced: But we don’t even know who the traitor is yet.

Ava: Didn’t you think for a second, that your actions could be making things worse than they already are?

Master of Masters : Guess you better get started then. Unfortunately you’ll have to go alone from here on out.

So out of all the Foretellers who got screwed over the most you think?

presumably all of them equally, if all of them died during the Keyblade War

but if we define “screwed” as “how much the Master seems to have fucked with them via his final orders” then least to most is probably Luxu > Ava > Ira > Invi > Gula > Aced

my reasoning for saying Aced was screwed over hardest is that the Master basically gave Aced a direct order to start being a dick eventually (“your job is to support Ira until the day he does literally anything questionable at which point it is now your job to maybe overthrow him wink-nudge hint-hint”), and that’s why Aced had the guts to rebel as strongly as he did I think. like I honestly don’t think he would have ever gotten violent if he hadn’t thought taking over was practically his duty; if the Master had said “your job is to support Ira always and forever no questions asked,” he probably would have, if perhaps unhappily.

the Master deliberately gave everyone conflicting, confusing orders to instigate conflict, though, so the real blame rests with him

Honestly, that last comment was meant as a joke. “I don’t think you’ll have much to worry about on that note.” 

While Ira expected some level of professionalism from each of them, they were all still free to guide their unions as they saw fit. And while Invi did her best to observe everyone, including her fellows, she did her best to not be intrusive about it. 

“So, how is it?” She asked, gesturing to the drink in his hand. “Is it to your liking?”
