Whole family is out on the lake ice with various neighbors partying. I went for a bit but then came back with the pups cause we were all cold.

Mom said she’d be gone for ~15 minutes. I think it’s been about 2 hours now. No one brought a phone.

I’m ok, but the puppies are sad because pretty much the same thing happened earlier so it’s been just me and them most of the day. This sucks.

Update: mom came back at least. Pups are happy now.

UPS came to my house with a package, then refused to give it to me unless I handed them a $50-something check that I obviously didn’t have, then left with the package. What a waste of everyone’s time???

Some asshole: “Publicly funded postal services are obsolete. Private couriers can do everything the post office can do more cheaply and efficiently.”

UPS: *chucks a $300 piece of computer hardware from a moving vehicle to land in the middle of my driveway as I watch from my living room window, then takes off without ever coming to a complete stop; five minutes later, an email arrives in my inbox informing me that my parcel has been left at the door because the courier couldn’t find the requested no-contact dropoff location*

FYI: The US Government is not advertising this, because of course not, but enrollment for 2021 Obamacare opened today, and you have to be enrolled by December 15 or you are out of luck. It's really easy to apply. healthcare.gov
