Disability and chronic illness and chronic pain is like…I just did so many things, so many different little things all stacked on top of each other to try and help me feel better. I did all the usual numerous regular maintenance things, and then I did the extra stuff too. And for all of it, I feel like…3% less awful? Which is simultaneously everything and nothing. Because it’s not enough, it isn’t—except that it IS, because it’s enough to keep me going, to keep me from losing it. And because having things that I can do, that can make any difference at all, is so much better than being completely helpless and hopeless and having no courses of action, you know?
