App pages
Mock up app pages which will link to the board, I made these using Adobe XD and are happy with how they have turned out!
The page on the right shows a map which allows the user to see where active collars are within the park and pops up with a warning sign if the area has a build up of nervous dogs and tells you to avoid it, this will avoid chaos which is a common problem in the park as found out on my observational study.Â

Dog Tags
As part of the dog counter I have added electronic doggy tags which attach to the collar (not sure how yet) But they will be built with a tracker on them which will Link to the app which is already linked to the board. The collars will be two different colours indicating the state of the dog ( red for nervous/ not good around other dogs and green for willing to play with others and wants to run around with others) I will post an update of what these tags will look like!

A few ideas of what the screen I'm building might look like and ways where the tags could be stored within the board.

Interactive dog counter
The interactive dog counter uses loop technology to send updates to an app as well as a display (screen) within the park. It works via a sensor built into the ground at the entrance of the park which detects dogs entering the park and stores the number onto the large board also at the front of the park and also an app which can be downloaded onto your phone. The purpose of this is to allow people to know how busy the park is prior to visiting and while visiting. This will reduce chaos as people with nervous dogs know which time to visit and how many other dogs there are within the park.Â

Conclusion of Observations
Who visited the park the most?
I found that while visiting the park 6 times, the most common people who use the space are dog owners with their dogs, this could be due to the massive space of grass that allows dogs to run around freely as well as using the benches as things to jump over (my dog enjoys this).Â
I also found that mostly youths use the park at night, with children using it at lunch time or to use as a short cut to get to school in early mornings. Elderly barely use the park, and couples use it to walk around observing nature or using the duck pond.Â

Memo Activity ZoneÂ
Memo Activity Zone gives kids a physical challenge, I liked this idea as it correlates to my idea that the park should have something interactive in it to encourage children to use the space as a learning zone.Â
