HDM TIP! Tired of trying to remember that long link? Same hashtags? For me - retyping class date, link, & description over… Here’s my favorite LIFESAVER for that! 1. Start with a new NOTE. Type whatever it is you want to shorten. Could be long or really long! 2. SELECT & COPY 3. Go to Settings - General - Keyboard - Text Replacement on iOS or SYSTEM PREFERENCES - KEYBOARD on Mac 4. Hit the + button & create a new shortcut 5. hold curser in PHRASE box & PASTE your text. 6. Create a 3-5 letter shortcut. Save. TIP to remember your shortcuts - JUST REMOVE THE VOWELS. Now you when you type your shortcut and hit space, your phrase appears. Use for: Email address, directions frequently shared, long urls, frequently used hashtags, posts for an event… PRO TIP! When composing a message & wanting to go back to your inbox to see another message or open an email & copy something, 

PRESS the draft’s headline at the top and DRAG DOWN. 

This DOCKS the draft at the bottom of the screen and you can manage your inbox above it. You can even open another email & copy that info you need - read on 

GENIUS!

To reopen it just TAP on the title bar. Then just PASTE in that info you copied - tap then hold in the email where you want your info

Putting your device in airplane mode has several benefits – my favorite being that it will charge the device more rapidly as it’s not looking for any connections via wifi, cellular, or bluetooth.

This morning’s 1-1 lesson my fabulous client wasn’t absolutely thrilled with her photos. They were awesome captures, just needed a few quick tweaks, but she’s a busy mom - no time, especially to try photoshop. She left so excited to try editing on iPad she was GIDDY! Can’t wait to see what her photos will look like now! She can even edit between soccer games or during practice. 😄 love getting folks excited about their photos & the amazing possibilities #ipadphotoediting #photoworkshop

Take a Screenshot

To take a screenshot, you need to press 2 buttons at the same time. It may be easier to place your device face up on a flat surface.

Press the SLEEP/WAKE BUTTON and the HOME button at the same time.

Your screen should flash white  for a slip second and if you have vilume on, you should hear a camera click noise. If not, try again. You may not have pressed both buttons at the same moment.

Tap. Hold (numbers, punctuation, shift key). Slide to desired key. Release. For capital letters mid sentence as well as number keys. When you let go, you're back to the regular keyboard. :)
