This is a bonus post for my last build for @otherside-wanderer's buildtober for people who are interested in the details of the build. You can check out the main post here. Also, I can't believe I played five days worth of Minecraft in 1 1/2 months. Another fun fact, using explosive blocks to decorate a build is very stressful. 10/10 would not recommend.

Here's my final build for @otherside-wanderer's buildtober.
When an ominous pyramid started appearing near this desert village at night, the villagers started to worship the sun, hoping the pyramid would go away. However, not only did the pyramid continue to appear but, soon after they started to worship the sun, an image of a creepy version of their village appeared beneath the pyramid! Now the villagers spend their nights exploring the pyramid, hoping it contains some clue to how they can save their village from ending up like the one below.
When I started this build, I was only planning on doing a desert temple in a different style but, when there ended up being a village right next to the spot I picked, I started trying to think of a way to incorporate it into the build and had the idea of having the pyramid contain some alternate version of the village so...yeah, here it is. For a while I was also planning on making a puzzle that you could solve to unlock doors that lead down to the creepy version of the village. The micro-biomes inside the pyramid were meant to be clues for how to solve the puzzle but, I ended up having to scrap that idea because I had already spent way more time on this build than I planned.

So, I've been working on a build that was originally going to combine today's prompt with deep dark but, I ended up getting a bit carried away with it (it's currently at least 3x the size I planned and combines a few prompts) so it's not gonna be done for a few more days. I prefer to post buildtober builds on the day of the prompt so, I thought I would at least post a preview of the build today.
This also seems like a good opportunity to say thank you to @otherside-wanderer for creating the buildtober list this year, and to everyone for all of the kind comments 🙂

Here's another build for @otherside-wanderer's buildtober.
A former explorer built his jungle hideout with things (and blocks) that he discovered during his adventures. After finding an allay, on one of his adventures (there is actually a very shy allay in the cage. He's very good at avoiding having his picture taken) the explorer decided to become a scientist and use the power of redstone to discover how the allay fly and create his own flying machine. The relic room now doubles as a living space for the allay, when they're not in the observation cage.
For those of you who don't know anything about redstone (which I know is most of tumblr), none of the redstone devices here work. I put them in the build to create a side joke that this guy decided to become scientist on a whim so he's really bad at it. I know redstone is really out of place in an aesthetic build but I thought the joke was worth it.

Holy 💩 I hit the photo limit on this post. I never thought I would do that. Here's another build for @otherside-wanderer's buildtober.
After a couple of failed attempts to reach the geode deep in this lush cave, these miners created a nether portal to use as a shortcut. However, they somehow caused the warped forest, on the other side, to start spreading into the overworld.
I seem to be good at creating builds that are really difficult to take pictures of. I got decent pictures of most of the details and I included some to try to capture the vibe in the cave but, there was only so much I could do to capture this one in photos.

Here's another build for @otherside-wanderer's buildtober. The local villagers have always wondered why this candle shop is so far away from the village, and why strange things seem to happen when they burn the candles.

No one knows how this old train got here, or how long it's been here, but it's been turned into a cabin and now it's a great place to hang out by the lake and have a campfire!
This is another build for @otherside-wanderer's buildtober.

Here's another build for @otherside-wanderer's buildtober. The idea here is that an underground village needed a way to water their crops so they turned a shed, and some old mining equipment, into a storm generator. I've been wanting to build an underground sky for a while and I think it turned out pretty well, for my first attempt. This build was really difficult to take screen shots of so I hope it looks alright on Tumblr.
There are gifs of the lightning effect under the cut. I don't think they'll cause issues for people sensitive to flashing lights but I can only guess so I wanted to separate them from the images to be sure. There are no other still images below the cut. Also, I made the gifs with shaders turned off because the warm colors of the shader ruined the effect.

I find some of the coolest things when I'm flying around in creative. I was looking for a spot for a buildtober build and found this woodland mansion then went underground and it's sitting right above the biggest lush cave I've ever seen and it has a geode at the end. At the bottom, there's a mineshaft that has another geode in it and a zombie dungeon and then there's another geode below the entire thing!
Here's the seed, and coordinates, if you want to check it out yourself

So, this is a build I did using this prompt generator. The prompts that I used were carnival, wildflower, and orchid (that was the accent color). These were really difficult prompts to work with but I really like the way it turned out. So, basically, what I did was build a flower shop that's meant to look like it's one of the shops on the main strip in a carnival or fair and I went for a very bright, colorful palette to match and to try to mimic the super bright lights carnival shops usually have. I also gave it it's own tea cup ride.

Idek what to say about this one. It's a well. I don't like the roof very much. I'm not working on color palette builds right now so this will be the last one for a while.

Here's another color palette build that I really like and really didn't get good pictures of.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm trying to become a better builder, not a photographer

This was my first time using any of the blocks from the latest update. I love the cherry wood block!

This is another color palette build but I also wanted to attempt a circular build of some kind. I'm not fond of the build but, I like the color palette.
