alice’s learned hobby: 

growing up in a home where she was an only child, alice learned early on that she would have to occupy herself otherwise she would go insane from boredom. as a result of coming to such a revelation so young, alice grew up learning many things that had nothing to do with her academic tutoring. one of the hobbies that she’s grown quite attached to is her ability to crochet. she started learning the skill slowly, a little while before her 10th birthday though she wouldn’t say she was any good at the skill until she was about 12. she likes to crochet for many reasons. the most notable reasons being that crocheting keeps her hands busy and it helps her easy her mind when she is stressed. this hobby for her is also a good way to pass time without having to get lost in a world of boredom. another thing is that she always has an easy gift to give someone, and it makes her happy knowing that people appreciate the gifts that she took the time to make by her hand. her favorite things to crochet are the usual blankets and scarves, but she can also do gloves/mittens, beanies, and more.

august highest education:

education was the only aspect in august’s life that didn’t completely collapse when his life fell apart. the highest level of education he received was completing medical school (or completing his surgical residency). going to medical school and becoming a doctor wasn’t something that was chosen for him, but more so something he himself made the decision to pursue. he hadn’t had any idea what he wanted to do with his future before he went to college (and he certainly wasn’t talking to his family to ask their opinions). however, once he actually got there and after doing some general education courses, he decided to declare pre-med as his major and set on the path to becoming a surgeon. the path has not been easy for him, nor has it been short, but he stuck it through to the end and is very proud of himself and where he ended up.

sirius & learning:

when it comes to classifying people in terms of being smart, sirius probably isn’t one of the names that come to mind. he is more so known for pranks and personality as opposed to his marks, but he does have good marks. growing up with a family who was always concerned with maintaining their public image of being and having the best, sirius had a ton of pressure on him not to be a disappointment to the house of black and that included having good marks. while he isn't what people think of when they think of the term ‘traditionally smart’, he is very intelligent. he doesn’t read a ton or spends hours in the library, but you’d think he did. sirius is the type of person that learns by doing, he’s a man of action. he doesn’t learn very well by someone talking to him, or reading something in a book, he learns best by trying things himself until he gets it right. his theory portion of his grade is only slightly lower than the practical portion which is through the roof high, because not only does practicals come easy to him, but he is also very powerful. after he graduates hogwarts, he doesn’t further his education, instead he automatically joins the war. he knows, however, that he still has plenty of things to learn, not only in academics but also in life.

i’m sick i’ve been feeling really crappy these last few days so just an update for those waiting on replies or messages both here and in discord: i’m not ignoring anyone at all, i’ve just been so sick that the only thing i’ve had the energy to do is sleep. i’m not going on hiatus or anything, i just need a few more days to feel like myself again!
