PERFORMANCE TASK 6
1. As an MIL student, create your own quote that encapsulates your understanding of your roles and responsibilities as part of the Filipino People Media.
“think before you speak/click/criticize”
For me, this quote can be applied as a responsibility for being a user and an influencer in media. The media can spread news as fast as a spreading disease. Once you posted something multiple person can have a copy of it. Thus, we should be careful of what information we are about to spread, what we promote, and what we do in the media.
2. Social media platforms have become avenues for people to manipulate information. Provide one screenshot of an article or social media post that serves as an example for the given types of manipulative information: PROPAGANDA, GATEKEEPING, and FEARMONGERING.
PROPAGANDA
GATEKEEPING
FEARMONGERING
3. A. Summarize what you have learned in the subject Media and Information Literacy (3-5 sentences only).
I learned that media has many functions and influence to the community and it is important to be a responsible netizen. I also learned that people in the media can be manipulated sometimes therefor we need to be vigilant in absorbing the information. Lastly is how vast the media is and how you can learn and grow from it.
B. Feedback/Message/Remark for the teacher
Thank you for being considerate and talaga pong iniisa-isa niyo po kami to help us with our grades and not many teachers can do that. Also you always adjust the difficulty of the work you’ve given to us when you know that we are struggling with other subjects. We also can see that you are very well informed in the subject that you are teaching. :)

Kapayapaan
Dahil patuloy kang nasisinag

"I don't care if I love in hell, as long as the Filipinos live in paradise." -Rodrigo Duterte, 2016

"Stop the killings" protest

Mapayapa nga talaga
...si Duterte

Nagsimula na makita ang hubad na katotohanan. Kumikilos na ang mga mamamayan para sa kanilang kapayapaan.
“GISELLE”
A Reaction Paper
The word “ballet” is a French word for dance. “Giselle” is a ballet production about the undying love of a young, beautiful peasant towards an alluring, noble count. It was presented on Cultural Center of the Philippines and I was excited to watch my first ever ballet show with my classmates. Before the show started, I hurriedly glance the back story of “Giselle” so that I know how the story goes because I am not familiar of any interpretative dance. The stage was the only thing that is illuminated by colorful vibrant colors that complements the costume of the ballet dancer. It automatically sends an aura of happiness and excitement as the start of the story goes by introducing the characters as the dance gracefully to the happy tones of music. Lighting together with the music allows smooth transitions to occur within the show and provides certain sentiments to add tension or quiescence, depression or excitement. They are all wearing light make-up to highlight their natural beauty. I noticed how they are synchronized with the music and I can tell that this is not their first time performing. Moreover, the recreation of a small village during middle ages was drastically displayed through the back drop and set design in a form of two medieval houses decorated with flowers. The amalgamation of harmonious classical music and graceful ballet dancing was such a sight to behold. It lulled my ears and pleased my eye and left my heart wanting for more. Their overall play made me appreciate this kind of art. In the past it was impossible to easily cut, delete and edit the wrong scenes, so you can imagine clearly how people evaluate this work. Indeed, there is a unique experience in seeing live performances rather than shooting the show. I am convinced that there is a more wonderful ballet performance so I will give five of the five stars of "Giselle". It is the first time that I have critically analyzed ballet and it is impossible to compare. Starting my Ballet Art Tour with "Giselle" is a fair start, as it is expected that seeing more shows in the near future will get better. I am optimistic that "Giselle" is gathering most of the comments of young people who saw it. Ballet is about a farmer 's girl named Giselle who died of broken heart after discovering her lover Albrecht was engaged to other people. Willis is a mysterious and supernatural woman who dances to death and summons Giselle from her tomb. They aimed at her lover for death, but thanks to Giselle’s great affection, he was released from their bondage. Willis is particularly unforgettable. They are the spirit of a virgin died before marriage. These creatures are very popular in ballet of a romantic era. Under the leadership of Queen Willis Queen Myrtha, they get easy numbers through dramatic patterns and synchronized movement, and control the stage with long tulle dress and stubborn facial expression. Etheric, the existence of Willis aims to create eerie emotions to form as ballets continue to include them in Albrecht. Because they all die with grief, they are ruthless and hateful people. The second act was in the moonlight forest near Giselle’s grave on her burial night. Hilary grieved over Giselle’s death. He felt terror at Queen Malta, Queen of Willis. And that feminine spirit rose from the grave at night and quieted the people by dancing to strike them on death. Giselle was summoned from her grave and was welcomed by supernatural creatures and disappeared soon. Albrecht entered the tomb of Giselle and her spirit appeared before him. He was puzzled by the confession and sorrow of the girl he loved and asked for forgiveness. Her love is not waning, Giselle is happy to forgive him. When she disappeared into the woods, the scene was over when Albrecht ran after Giselle.
end.
