Hi Olivia! I was wondering what other books/short stories you may have read by Louisa May Alcott and if you liked them? Little Women is my favorite book ever so I want to explore more of her writing!
I loved Eight Cousins and Rose in Bloom when I was little, along with the entire Little Women series, especially Jo’s Boys.

in case you’re wondering
re: me and hurricane harvey
for those that (somehow) don’t know, i live in houston, texas, a major city in the path of hurricane harvey (more or less). houston is more on the back end of the storm, and is at a high risk for flooding in certain areas (mostly on the southern sides, especially on the southwest side). i live on the NE side of houston and while my family and i are planning to hunker down for the next few days, we don’t anticipate any flooding or high water in our neighborhood. being on the back end of the storm, we’re not expecting any hurricane force winds, either.
harvey is set to make landfall about 4 hours south, near the corpus christi area. communities around that area are under mandatory evacuation orders because of the high wind and certainty that there will be flooding. there will almost certainly be people who lose their homes, businesses, belongings, or worse.
over the next few days and weeks, im going to do my best to blog about charities to help victims of the storm throughout texas, because make no mistake, Texas has shit infrastructure to protect people from flooding. the parts of Houston that are at greatest risk of disastrous flooding are largely populated by poor people of color, especially black and latinx people.
tl;dr: while i am not at a great personal risk from this hurricane, many others are, so please keep an eye out on my blog and others for charities helping victims of the storm and give what you can.

Yet it would be your duty to bear it, if you could not avoid it. It is weak and silly to say you cannot bear what it is your fate to be required to bear.

>> Black♥Jack Masterpost! <<
Hello everybody! Today is finally the day I write a Black♥Jack masterpost with all the related stuff up to this point! I didn’t even write a single line of this post and I’m already sweating, I detest the way Tumblr uses HTML… ugh. I must state something first: all this art has been made by Rem289, but I am, for the most part, the author of every story and concept. I know it may sound a bit pretentious, and I’m perfectly aware of the fact that is Rem who does most of the job, since I don’t even know how to draw a three, but I think I should at least claim what is mine – that is, the idea which moves every drawing. That being said, cut the chatter and let’s go! ♠) Black♥Jack storyline:
Episode 0: A new task
Episode 1: Encounter
Episode 1.1: Take It
Episode 2: Make up your mind
Episode 3, part 1: Chasing Hearts (1)
Episode 3, part 2: Chasing Hearts (2)
Episode 4: Advice from the Moon
Episode 5, part 1: The Good and the Bad (1)
Episode 5, part 2: The Good and the Bad (2)
Episode 5, part 3: The Good and the Bad (3)
♠) Zoom on the Black♥Jack characters:
Jack Savage
Cynthia Walker
Stella Rogers
Zac Goldenwheat
♠) Extra involving Black♥Jack characters:
Fanfiction: Promise
Fanfiction: Weak
The young apprentice and his mentor
“What are you drawing?”
Catty
Merry Christmas!
A hare in the kitchen
Dangerous photo
The Game
Comics: Just like the moon
I’ll update this post whenever a new part of something comes out! Hope I didn’t forget something, I and Rem surely did a lot of art together… and that’s beautiful!

...like the songs used for healing abnormal emotional stages, which produce a catharsis in hysterical people, tragedy produces a "sort of" catharsis of pity and terror; but this affects everybody, insofar as we are all prone to excess in the emotions to some degree...
