Thanks for your feedback. Except that this scene was supposed to appeal to fans in the early 2000s, I think it makes sense. If you look at the earlier 90s yaoi, most of them had something like this, or even worse ... It’s interesting that the anime "Love stage" which is considered less problematic than JR and even better, but also has a sexual assault scene Of course, this is not an excuse. In general, toxic behavior (no matter what type. harassment, psychological abuse) is common in anime. Not only yaoi have a problem with this, although most people say that this genre has the most problems with it. Take, for example, the Toradora from shoujo genre, which is considered a classic, but has problematic things but is much less criticized. These things are not just about one genre of anime or just anime, but in general about  the ideas of romantic love as perceived by the majority of society. In addition, when we are talking about anime, Japanese culture also has some influence on it. It is different from European, so it has an influence on it. The problems of romanticizing toxic behavior are a thing that people have been fighting for a long time, but not so long ago, this topic began to be discussed more on a larger scale. And at BL we will see an ever better representation of romantic relationships that do not involve the problematic stuff. About SIH. Honestly, I don't know what to say about it. The issue of consent I guess this could have something to do with pornography and the fact that most people unfortunately know little about healthy sexual relations. Most of the products that contain hentai threads have a HUGE PROBLEM with showing normal sex scenes. Of course I'm not saying that good hentai, especially yaoi hentai does not exist. It's just hard to find. I believe that if people bring up this topic more, then it will have an impact on the fact that the representation of something that is healthy will become more frequent. Fortunately, such examples already exist. And JR wish she would continue to develop the relationship between the main couple in the good direction.
Namakura are you ok??
I didn’t think I’d ever write anything like that. I saw a similar entry, but I have to comment. I DON’T LIKE neither JR (I more or less like Junjou Egoist, although they have their problems too, but seem to be the most normal couple for me) nor SIH. But SIH seemed much more normal to me than JR. Less problematic (because let’s be honest that her anime and anime / manga by most BL authors are problematic as fuck). Especially when it comes to the main pair in SIH. When I read both manga, especially the last chapters, my shock was unlimited. How could your own universe be so destroyed? And treat the fans? Let’s explain something. I never respected the Usagi x Misaki couple. Partly because of the sexual harassment (molestation) scene at the beginning. Yes it was not romanticized or in any way justified in the manga, but it just is NOT NORMAL. Now when I see that this couple has a healthy relationship now, they trust each other, they help each other. And they really changed so much, I still don’t like them. Excuse me. And now about the last chapters of SIH. I am simply shocked that the author did something like that. She destroyed the ENTIRE relationship of the couple with one move. HOW? Every fan probably knows what I’m talking about. THIS IS SICK. In addition, in one chapter, Ritsu is even blamed. Of course, this doesn’t happen in real life. But I can’t imagine what fans are feeling now, who have liked this series for a long time, especially this couple. How can you disrespect people who like / support / even pay real money for your manga? When Namakura and  other  yaoi/ BL writers understand that rape is not a fucking part of the plot for a romantic comedy. When? Thanks for reading my soul cry. P.S. By the way, I would like to say more on this subject, although it has been mentioned many times. And I’m glad yaoi fandom is slowly but surely stopping romanticizing toxic behaviors.
